Stupid Criminal of the Day

I'm not sure if this guy is the "stupid" criminal of the day or a genius but this is the first time I've ever heard of something like this. :eek:

We've seen glitches in prison computer systems let inmates out early, but this might be the first time a loophole has been exploited to raise money to pay bail. The system that controls inmate accounts at Florida's Lake County Jail allowed one inmate to raise over $1,250 in just a few hours, which he used to post bail and walk free.

I think it was smart to do it, but STUPID for telling his fellow inmates about it. THATS the stupid part!!!

Yep, more criminals shoot themselves in the foot by opening their mouths and bragging about their expliots then can be believed. Wasn't Friday that the story was up about the guy posting on Facebook where he was and taunting the cops to come arrest him, and they did, and how many people post videos of their actions on youtube only to be busted for it?
 
A genius with a big mouth that needs a lot more wisdom. His career in politics is set ;)

It's charging prisoners $47 for international calls that should be a crime.

you misread that, he got back $47, but only because the glitch gave him back twice the cost so it would have only been $23.50 for the call. Still a lot but it depends on the country. he must have found some country with horrible rates. Still have no idea what country that would be. Although who knows, maybe they have crazy rates since they don't have an international plan.

Still doesn't make any sense how or why a system would have a glitch like that.
 
Prison guards had of thought he was a real blabber mouth making all those calls prior to getting caught. They would have been right.
 
Only stupid thing he did was tell another soul...other wise..smart idea lol.
 
He's what I call a stupid genius. If he kept his mouth closed, he would've gotten away with it. But no, instead he had to get all braggy. :rolleyes:
 
Shit why even bail himself out. He should have stayed in there for a year or two, racked up a huge bank account and walked out in the money.
