EA Store: Crysis 2 $21

I got it for $30 on Amazon the other day. Single player is not bad, not sure about Multiplayer though. It sure is not a $50-60 game, but for $20-30 it is priced right.

With High Res Textures and DX11, the game has plenty of eye candy. Graphics are at or above those on Metro 2033.

$5 no more, yerli can go stfu and sit in corner, 'gift' my ass, im surprised those 2 patches werent $10 DLC's

Thanks for the deal. I liked the demo multiplayer and I'm sure I will enjoy the game for $21. :)

Not all games auto update and require manual patches.. All depends on the dev/game.

Origin is suppose to have auto patching and all the stuff soon. Still in beta.
This is with an EA title on the EA app. How much better SHOULD it be? NFSHP is the only other game in my account and that does the exact same thing.

Would buy this just to support Crytek and hurt Steam.

Deal dead though.

Very glad companies are pulling games from Steam though. Hope to see more of it. WILL see more of it LOL.

Guess I'll wait for an Amazon sale or something.

Dude, STEAM pulled the game NOT EA.

Is this better than the first two piles of shit they produced?

Nope, this one comes with Yerli's personalized turd, just watch the intro, his name comes up 2-3 times in case you know the viewers didnt catch it the first time

No, he's serious. EA / Steam need to work out their BS and put Crysis 2 back on Steam. I know I'm not even considering buying Crysis 2 until it comes back to Steam or I can get a disc copy that doesn't require me to insert the disc every time I play.

I have the disc copy, it has never required me to insert the disc other than the initial install.

Havent seen a really great deal on Crysis 2 yet, it's too popular. Missed it for $21 :(

Steam just gives it's usual deals on crap nobody wants.

This is a $5 game for me too. Even then it'll probably stay in my way-too-big backlog...

OP, dont fret. It's a pretty good deal.

I will wait for it to be on steam, I do not want to have to remember another service and password for just one game. As is, I dont play too much SC2 because of that. It does piss me off to have to remember 3-5 passwords to play various games on steam and non steam.

Steam might have pulled it, but EA changed the policy requirements, so it's the same as EA forced steam to pull it. Don't twist it to Steam saying "we don't want Crysis 2 here, we'll pull it". Which is what some are saying.

If you have it already and are enjoying it, great! You have more spare time than me. If this was on Steam, I would be more inclined to buy it.

Pass for now. I have other things to play.

Youll be missing out on a pretty damn good game if you wait that long. Im enjoying the shit out of this. Is it Mass Effect or Half Life 2? No but its definitely a very good game. Good enough to where Ill take back all my bitching and moaning about Crytek.

The game plays and looks just fine in both DX9 and DX11, especially compared to the deluge of crap out there right now. Boohoo, it wasn't DX11 at launch - bunch of fucking ingrates.

I thought DX11 makes the e-p... I mean, game longer on any title! That makes it better, doesn't it? /sarcasm :)

I still LOL @ people holding a grudge against a game dev (and title) for these kinds of things... thankfully, the number of people with that sort of mindset and capacity are limited, compared to those who can actually think past blind, red-eyed rage that is induced upon themselves for no reason whatsoever. I guess sitting around bored complaining on the forums is more fun for them than playing good games  ?

How the fuck does that make them an ingrate when they spent $50 on the game. Its not like EA was giving this away for free. The DX11 issue was the least of the complaints of the actual owners of the game anyways.

There were a lot of legitimate gripes about the game and still is compared to the first game.

Thing is almost eveyone whining DOESN'T own the game, so I as an owner will continue laughing.

No one forced them to buy it. But yes graphics dont make a game good. (See Crysis 1)

Your point is? You've never bought a game that you've later regretted?

If you didn't like crysis 1 I don't know what to say. Go back to your 360, I guess. I assume that I must be responding to a troll here.

The first thing that I had to do with Crysis 2 was search for a way to adjust the fov and eliminate mouse acceleration. I don't remember having to do that with the first game. I can't imagine that information would have been as easy to obtain (still took long enough) on day one. On top of that it was missing advanced options, is more of an on the rails shooter, and had worse graphics.

Like I said legitimate gripes. What I do find funny is one of he biggest complainers here condemning people for complaining, I'm not talking about you.

Funny, up until Crysis 2 came out you people would whine that Crysis 1 was a bore-fest and heavily unoptimized/poorly coded.

Then Crysis 2 comes out, and you people complain it doesn't have DX11 at launch (boo hoo!). Suddenly Crysis 1 is amazing and awesome even though it has worse graphics at a given performance level than Crysis 2.

Oh no, adjusting a .ini file is INCREDIBLY difficult, I couldn't have thought to look for a settings.ini file in the install folder and a setting called "fov", on launch day, if no one had found it and posted already. NEVER. Just couldn't happen! If you can't handle tweaking a .ini file you should indeed go back to your consoles/360, as you said.

Crysis 1 is about as open as Crysis 2, you just had more of an illusion of freedom. I like Crysis 2 more, frankly.

P.S. Who are you talking about that's "one of he biggest complainers here condemning people for complaining"? I never complained about Crysis 2, so I'm not sure exactly who you're referencing despite inference pointing to me.

Yeah, people here just like to bitch.

The problem was that Crytek has failed to deliver on promises in the past. I still think that Crysis 1 looks as good if not better than Crysis 2. It also runs better for me.

You don't just adjust an ini. You have to create an autoload file to fix the two problems and somehow know the commands to enter. I'm sure that wasn't common knowledge on day one but whatever I guess that you're telepathic.

Crysis 1 is about as open as Crysis 2, you just had more of an illusion of freedom. I like Crysis 2 more, frankly.

Thats fine, you are entitled to your opinion. As are other people. Not everyone is going to agree with you.

I wasn't refering to you either. I'm talking about the person that I had originally quoted.
