It looks like Best Buy has the Corsair H50 for $46, no rebates or any of that crap. I know that a couple of the stores in my area have these in stock. I'm thinking about picking up a second one.

I also recently found a comparison with the H50, 60, 70 and a true all using the same fans. The results might surprise you. Here is a link.

I was looking for one of these! Thanks for the heads up.

Last time this happened I bought the last 3 in the store. Fantastic deal for a fantastic cooler!

Picked mine up earlier and the price looked like it was set at $45.99, no tag covering it up or anything. I don't know if they were advertised prices last time, or may be clearing out stock this time.

Like I said it's the only site that I had seen test the recent Corsair units with the same after market fans.

I could see being annoyed by the pump on a test bench but in a case I can't hear the pump at all and I usually keep my fans at a pretty low speed.

One left in the West Oaks Novi, MI store as of an hour ago. I wasn't greedy and left one for someone else.

Picked one up. about $18 after a gift card and reward cert. Not sure when I'll install it. I have a 212+ and I don't think this will be much different, but I wanted to free up some space. For instance I can't install a second side fan because the 212+ sticks out too much, the fan can't fit.

i am tempted...again....all stores in the Orlando area seem to have em in stock

Wish these things were quieter then the reports seem to make them out ot be. Thats the main thing holding me back on one the H70, the fan being so loud that it's annoying.

i bought one of these on the memorial day sale for 40. Im using a Corsair 700D with all the stock fans and the H50 with stock fans and its whisper quiet.

Mine is whisper quiet...and I have two fans in push/pull...every once in a while you'll hear a barely noticeable rush of coolant. Can't hear the pump at all. Best cooler i've ever owned.

Replace the fan with something else?

+1. For those above complaining about noise, it's all subjective. Some people have more acute hearing and the noise level on these might be noticeable/annoying, not so to me, can't hear anything other than the case fans and the air whooshing. Only thing that might get louder is the video card fan, but rarely. Already tuned the sounds out.

What is the RPM on the included fan?

I'm running a 212+ in a Silverstone Fortress FT-02 with a single 800RPM fan and my idles are good, but the thing definitely is huge. I wouldn't mind grabbing one of these just to relieve some of the torque on the mobo from the heatsink, but was wondering if people thought I could use the 800RPM fan I currently have - though I read some with that case just mount the radiator directly under the fan on top of the case.

Alright so I got it installed. It was a bitch. Temps seem same... or a little worse. Not sure why. I think it's the ambient temp over here.

Question: I plugged the pump's power cable into the main cpu fan plug on the mobo. Is that bad?

just picked one up. excellent deal at $46.

Have mine in an SG07 with my 2600k at 3.8ghz (highest the itx board will go), temps never go over 60 full load.

i read some forums and they said you should plug it directly into the psu or set the header to 100%. they say the lower volts can damage the pump.

What the fuck... why does this always pop up when my wife takes the car for the day.

Alright so I installed a second side panel exhaust fan and turned the back exhaust around to blow air over the radiator. I plan to pick up some more screws (whey they only include 4 if they want you to do push-pull is beyond me) and reverse it again.

Did some testing last night with the Intel burn test and it never went above 45C. Think that's pretty good.

"They" as in the manufacturer never said they wanted you to install this in a push-pull, it's perfectly usable for most as is out of the box, but of course some will want to slap a 2nd fan in it for push-pull. It's purely optional and on their website they were at least kind enough to tell you what kind of screws to use. Honestly, if they wanted you to put this in a push-pull, they would have likely included a 2nd fan.

Dude it's 4 screws. I've seen companies give extra screws as a "just in case." There's no reason not to include them. You can't compare screws to fans. Adding an extra fan would up the cost of the unit, but screws are cheap as hell.

And yeah what a gift it is telling me what screws are used, god forbid.

yes thats bad.....the install video/instructions say plug it into a CHA_FAN, your pump is not going 100% thats why your temps are not good for the H50

The cost to *you* might not seem consequential over 4 screws, but to them it might * the number they produce. If they did add 4 screws for 2nd fan, they might not be deep enough to fit all possible fans made out there. Then you got people B&M'ing over the screws. Only makes 300% sense to not include the extra screws. Now they probably should start putting a small slip of paper with info on doing push-pull and the screw size/threading to use. But that would be a "gift" LOL. I applaud them for putting the info on their site, if it doesn't please you, so be it, I guarantee there are lots of people who *did* appreciate the info.

Not really. They're screws. And I'm sure since they're so small, at high volumes they would be even cheaper. The fucking thing costs $70 retail to begin with, they can chuck in some screws. the radiator only supports 1 screw size, not multiple. By design their screw is smaller than the normal screws used for fans, so it passes through easily. There's also... maybe 2 different 120mm fan sizes out there? And it only deals with the thickness. Something like 20mm or 25mm right? Most fans are 25mm. So again, it's a moot point because if you give a long enough screw for a 25mm fan it will work fine for a 20mm.

No one would complain about extra screws given in case they are needed. A sensible person would understand if their "situation" is not the norm it's on their shoulders.

You're just making excuses. But I'm not going to debate this any longer.

Well a lot of people said if you just turned off the smart fan control it would be fine. But I think it was ambient temps too. I flipped the fan around and added another exhaust and all seems well.

Holy Hell! I just installed this cooler and my idle temps for my i7 920 went from 48-49C with the stock heatsink down to 29-30C with this H50.

Thanks OP! Picked one up from the BB in Colma (The one right by Home Depot Pro). There was one left at around 2PM.

Really? Fuck me, I checked online and they said none were in stock at that location. So I didn't even bother to go in... and get flagged down by half a dozen Mexicans looking for illegal work

I've found that with BB, the online availability option doesn't get updated frequently. It's always worth a phone call.
