Ryan and the crew at PC Perspective have taken the OCZ RevoDrive 3 x2 480GB PCIe SSD around the block a few times and they seemed to really like it. The only gripe they really had was the price.

The RevoDrive 3 X2 is a true breath of fresh air to the field of PCIe Solid State Storage. With very large available capacities, and performance on-par with solutions costing several times more to obtain, I see the new RevoDrive making its way into low end servers and (very) high performance end-user PC's. Anyone truly serious about their storage performance should not be without this Drive.

Who ever thought hard drives would be exciting? Yet I see these Revodrive reviews and start drooling...do want!

Hm... 3 months rent for the 240GB version, got the cash but I'll wait when it drops to 2 months.

Folks, they do not support TRIM commands in Windows. See Anandtech article for reasons why. If you are using Linux, then you'll get the TRIM support.

I thought they were @ 4x by now. 240gb is ideal and now a 480gb. Your just epeening. They different models have ifferent transfer rates. But oh well anndtech. Review something none of us dare buy cause pointless in this conomy

But can anyone veryify that it works with n7 and not just linux. Lets all read the reviews shall we

I did read it but it looks like you didn't. :)

Unmap is to SCSI (or SAS, in this case) what TRIM is to the ATA command set. But Windows 7 doesn't include the Unmap command as part of its native driver stack. OCZ is working on a solution to this problem

How much more do you want?

so now we wait and see for a newer model somewhere @ mid Q3 for one that will boot with a 64bit win7

This drive really is cost effective from a point of voiew. 4x SSD + good RAID card is actualy more expensive. *shrug*
