The New Super High Resolution PC Screenshot Thread

That looks niiiiiiiiiiiice. Is it more than just a hack and slash game though? Digging the graphics/artwork.

Demo's on steam, its rather short but it gives you a good feel for the game.
Also, the game plays better with a 360 controller; the PC controls could use some fine tuning imo.

On my desktop at 2560x1600, I get some weird hitching/vsync issues (possible xfire bug). My laptop is extremely smooth with all graphics to high/ultra 4xaa/aniso and vsync.
Those with alienware laptops, the game utilizes AlienFX so on my laptop my led's change color according to the character's HP.

im just amazed that at 1920x1080 its able to use all of my video ram if i turn depth of field on and use 4xmsaa. with those settings that i listed above its at juts over 1gig.

Witcher 2 looks much better than Metro 2033 IMO. Screenshots are continuing to blow me away.

Space Engine, while not really a game it's very cool and wanted to share. You can control it with WASD so it's kind of like an FPS for whoever starts to bicker.

What I want to know is why do 9 out of 10 games today have to look all foggy/misty/hazy overdone HDR looking?
I mean in some locales or situations it applies, but not all the time.
It looks cheezy IMO.
Far Cry for example looked truly fantastic w/o all that crap.
I want it turned off in most games, if they even give an option.

Anyone suggest games that DON'T have that look?

What is Alice game all about? Puzzles or? Looks pretty good

And looking at Fear3, I should of grabbed the Fear steam deal for the other ones...damnit.

<assorted DNF screens>
Man, that DoF looks like ass... Worst implementation I've ever seen, by a mile. I'm convinced that there wouldn't be nearly as many complaints about the game's graphics if not for this.

Might want to give this a try. It lets you disable DoF independently of the other postprocessing effects.

These aren't quite super high resolution, but the game doesn't go above 1600*1200. I was in a nostalgic mood and decided to replay my favorite Star Trek and Raven game; Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force.

Now I just need to mess with the config to get widescreen and try to find some graphical mods.

Interesting screenshots. I wonder how it compares to the Unreal powered DS9 game from around the same era?

Agreed. When I got to the desert level in the demo, I had to turn it off. Even aiming at enemies far away caused everything else to go blurry as they moved around, and if your crosshairs moved off the enemy, the enemy instantly got blurry! It was getting downright nauseating.

I just got these to work but the game is pretty.. hitchy. It's not exactly lag, more like it's loading while I play.

Defrag the drive where the game is. The texture pack may be spread out and causing the hitching. I have everything turned up at 1920X1200(with 4xSSAA forced through CCC) and everything is completely smooth.
