I am curious where others modders in the states are getting their supplies from? Right now I am mostly looking for cheap UV paint, and maybe some wire loom and cheap wire.

Got my hands back on my Cosmos S case. Time to mod that thing out.

There is no one site that will fulfill all of your needs, but being creative and shopping at the hardware store is where many of us start. Don't limit yourself just to computer modding stores, search the internet, buy some crazy stuff and try it out. Have fun.

Lowe's, Home Depot, Autozone, Pep Boys, Advance Auto, Summit Racing...I've bought parts from all of those places in the past for modding supplies.

Paint, moldings, meshes, screws, etc...

I even bought some stuff from Grainger for a project.

I've used frozencpu.com in the past. A little pricey but a huge selection of modding supplies.

the best place i've found for wiresleeving ('Flexo PET' sleeving & 'Shrinkflex' or shrink wrap 3:1) is www.wirecare.com.

found them when i was looking at the Flexo PET manufacturer website http://www.techflex.com/
wirecare was under the authorised online resellers.

it was a hell of a lot cheaper buying from there than at any of the computer mod sites. all their sleeving / heatshink come with sliding price scales.
the cheapest price for 1/8 Flexo PET that Performance PCS had was $0.29/foot and that was for 50 foot or greater.
helps if you're ordering for a large job like i did (for 1/8'' sleeving, at 50 foot, Performance PCs & wirecare is about the same)

i received an order from them last week;
-Flexo PET black 1/8'' - 500 foot (152 meters) @ $0.14 price/foot
-Flexo PET black 3/8'' - 75 foot (23 meters) @ $0.41 price/foot
-Shrinkflex Polyolenfin Heatshrink 3:1 / 1/8'' - 30foot (9 meters) $0.37 price/foot
-Shrinkflex Polyolenfin Heatshrink 3:1 / 3/8'' - 20 foot (6 meters) $0.75 price/foot

admittedly the shipping WAS NOT cheap but seeing as i live in australia, that to be expected. despite the costs, it was cheaper than sourcing the stuff locally.

just a note, i do not work for wirecare nor receive any cash / goods from them. just been spending the last month digging up bits and pieces for my WC loop upgrade.
