All sorts of issues on clean install of 7

So I just built a new pc. I installed windows 7. Went through the process of installing all the drivers the motherboard, video card drivers, updated windows. Restart. Common stuff. Upon the first restart, I go to hit the windows button. Nothing happens. My cursor turns into the little circle and it appears as though my explorer.exe crashed. After about a minute it fixes itself. But not if I go to run ANYTHING, it tells me

"Windows cannot find 'D:\blah blah'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again".

And now I can't run a single program on this brand new clean install. As far as I'm concerned, it's all updated. And if I missed an update, I can't run it anyway. I tried a .exe association fix, but I can't run that either!! This is really upsetting me since I can't seem to figure this out. Specs are as follows

I5-2500K
Asus p8p67-m
4Gb mushkin ram
His HD 6870
Crucial m4

Any ideas? :(

Yeah I can't even run those if I tried. All the ram registers as being there. The solid state seems to be working.

I just decided to wipe it and try again. Maybe I messed up somewhere along the line somehow and somehow caught a virus. Don't see how since it barely had access to the Internet. If this keeps happening I'm not going to be a happy camper

Well this time everything seems to be working nicely, except i can't get the speakers on the monitor to work. I have the audio line in plugged into the right ports, but it's not being recognized :/ should I make another post in a different sub forum?
