What lens spends the most time on your camera?

Still carrying around the 17-55mm f2.8 and now a 70-200mm f2.8 USM II with 1.4x extender in my bag everywhere. They cover just about everything. I wouldn't mind a prime with USM focusing for night time street photography tho.

Nikkor 35mm 1.8.

Love the sharpness, just wish it had better bokeh. I don't like using flash all that much, and my d40 is a bit dated in iso clarity... I want a d7000 so bad just for video and ability to use higher iso's with less grain (ideally d700, but no way i can afford that).

Since I bought that same lens recently I haven't taken it off, so much better than the kit lens.

I actually like the Bokeh on it

50mm f/1.8 on my T1i... I can get great pictures with in in broad daylight, but I'm having trouble with in in low-light situation. Still learning the odds and ends of my camera for different situations. I RARELY ever go back to the kit lens though. Looking at a 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM for walking around.

at f/1.8 & 1/160 or so (probably should be in Manual for this), it should come out exceptionally well. I've always been a Nikon person so I don't know all the specifics of the T1i and so on, but if you have an auto ISO setting or if you can manually force up to like 1600 ISO, try that out. it may be grainy depending on how well the body can handle low light but it definitely will be able to.. to some extent at least.

The lack of light is not the issue, its the in-accurate focus the nifty fifty has. i got one and the auto focus is a hit and miss especially during the day!

This. Once I tried a lens with a decent USM focus, I haven't picked up my 50 since.

Outdoor walkaround: Sigma 17-50 f2.8

Indoor: Sigma 30mm f1.4

Canon 50d body.

Yup. i think even my tamron 17-50mm is a bit hit and miss in the focus range. i really cant wait to buy a 70-200mm f4 IS or none IS lens.

the auto focus is suppose to be spectacular on that lens?

Nikon 50mm 1.8

Sure I sometimes wish it was wider being on my non full frame DSLR, but it is the nicest lens that I own.

For general purpose use, it's the 24-105. The 16-35 comes in second, and for telephoto purposes I use the 200mm f/2.8L II.

Just got a new one and I think it might become my most used lens. Leica D 14-50mm f/2.8-3.5.

Canon EF-S 15-85. Pictures are very clear. Not sure if I want a macro or a telephoto lens next. Thinking I might reverse mount my kit lens.

tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 on my canon 5dc. way better than the canon 28-75mm for the price.

I bought the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 just a week ago, as the Canon isn't available still. Only cons are the Vignetting and Chromatic Aberration, nothing that Photoshop can't fix.
The lens has been mounted 99% of the time since.

For those of you with a Tamron 17-50 2.8 I was wondering if you have the Vibration Reduction models.. do you find it worth it? I would LOVE the Canon model but I dont have the money. Just deciding now between the VR or Non-VR model.

I own the Tamron 18-270 and love it but I am have the hardest time in low light.. just bought a cheap Yongnuo flash and am deciding on what lens to get next over the summer.

Forget the VC, not needed and it is just not that good. The lens is superb though!

If I decide to by the Zeiss 50mm f/2.0 MP then that might be the lens that stays on my camera the most :)

I have a Pentax K10D.

The wifey takes a lot more pics than I do currently, so the Samsung 18-55mm stays on the camera most of the time.

When I decide to take some pics, I usually have some fun with either one of my fisheye lenses:
fav Spiratone 12mm- http://thesybersite.com/general/12mm-fisheye/index.htm

The other fisheye I have is an old Kenko 180 attachment that I have hooked to a Pentax 35-70. It gives me anything from full frame to circular images.

I also have fun with taking macro pictures with various lenses and extension tubes. You can get some crazy cool effects with almost no FOD when using a 50mm or 28mm with extension tubes.

Extension tubes used with longer lenses can be fun as well.

Well, maybe I don't really have a super favorite lense... just favorites for different types of pictures depending on what kind of mood I am in.

50mm f1.4G mounted on my D7000. It's an incredibly versatile setup that I can bring indoors as well as low light situations. Also great for portraits and general "walking around."

My Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 (EX) is on my Canon 20d 99.9% of the time. Unfortunately for the past 2 years, that means it was the lens that was on the camera as it sat in my backpack.

For shooting, which I've started doing again...I'd rather tote the 70-200mm around than my Canon 85mm f/1.8. Both are awesome lenses, but my preference is the 70-200mm because by the time I actually need f/1.8 (and ISO3200+) my camera's AF can't keep up and I only get ~5% of the shots I want. I don't typically need the f/1.8 DoF...and my other lens is sharp wide open at f/2.8.

Mostly, I use my Nikon f3.5 18-105mm VR zoom on my Nikon D90. Yeah, I know, f3.5... I'm hoping to be able to afford a nice f2.8 lens in the next year, but I have other spending priorities first.

I do have a 28mm and 55mm prime, but haven't played with them much yet.

I also have a Nikon D80 that I am planning to convert to IR sometime in the future. In the meantime, it's a nice backup camera.

Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 on my 450D. Fantastic value compared to the 17-55 f/2.8 IS, image quality is very close and hard to tell the difference for half the price.

I still keep my Canon 50mm f/1.4 around though for the fast aperture, and I want to pick up some extension tubes for macro work with it.

I went back to my kit lens (18-105) from using my 50mm prime - I did not realize how much I missed having a (relatively) wide angle to shoot from. I think I'll dedicate more time to the kit lens and see what I can do with it.

Until a little while ago I was all about my 17-55 f/2.8 IS zoom; I've started to get a little bored with the range, however. So my 8mm f/3.5 fisheye and 85mm f/1.8 prime are spending a lot more time on the camera than my standard zoom and I'm finding a whole lot more creative uses for them.

50mm f1.8 II on a Canon T1i. Recently I tried out the kit lens again, and though I like the range, the sacrifice in image quality is just not worth it. Plus, using the 50 forces me to be more creative in framing and such. I'm looking at a Tamron 17-50 or 28-75 though.

what 70-200mm do you have? the f2.8 IS mk2?

if so, how heavy is it?

I have the Mk 2 version and it's a bit heavy. I can carry it around for a couple hours, but my wrist lets me know that I've been holding up a big lens.

The attention you draw with that lens & the included lens hood is ridiculous.
