Corsair Force Series 3 SSD 120GB

Cool story bro. Edit your post as I shouldn't have to click a link to see the price.

Corsair SSDs are a bit flaky compared to OCZ, their Performance 3 series has been "allegedly" plagued with high failure rates. I didn't like the firmware issue in the previous series either.

I'll wait to see the reviews on this one. The performance is impressive for the price though!!!! 85,000 IOPS.
If Redbeard can say this is a "reliable" SSD, I'll pick one up in the next few days.

Just the rules, price in the title saves you a couple o clicks = time = money because now I'm wasting my time posting in a tread that doesn't interest me instead of looking for better deals.

I agree, I want it but I'm going to wait. Also, the MSRP is 219 for this drive so NewEgg is gauging us slightly on this.

Really? Have you seen all the complaints with ocz ssds? I have a good one after three tries.

I would much rather buy a Corsair SSD then pos OCZ drive. These drives look smoking fast though.

Ordered mine this morning way before this even posted. $222.98 - $3.30 cashback FW = $219.68. I used the $15 new customer coupon. I hope this is faster than my c300's. After ordering I noticed fudzilla had said something about Corsair using suspicious 4k MAX claims and may be that the 85iops is not realistic.

Well my series 2 version of this runs well. Crazy that they almost doubled the read/write speeds though on the 3 version.

That's why I'll wait until I see some reviews of this drive. 30 days from now users will post their experiences.
As for OCZ drives, they offer very good support, especially firmware. Just my opinion, but Corsair has to pick up the slack in their SSD department.
OCZ forum on SSDs is extremely helpful.

How are you using the drive? I've never gotten three bad products in a row. Sometimes it's how the user is operating the product causes issues.

Well, if any of you guys just have a SATA II connection, go with a regular Corsair Force, as you'll never get the performance out of the Force 3 series unless you can feed it off of a SATA III connection. If you're still on the fence about switching from a HD to a SSD, it's time to jump! Makes a world of difference as a boot drive. :)

The third one works fine but the first two would randomly not be seen at all (no boot drive on startup). They were all three set up in the same way as a boot drive ahci, I followed the setup to a t. If you go on ocz forums there are tons of people with issues. Now keep in mind this is with vertex 2 so maybe the vertex 3 has cleared up the issue.

lol Just wait long enough and it's sure to happen. I have received several sets of bad products in a row. ge-Force 4600+ (they would only run for a month or 2, the 4th card is still working years later). 3 enermax PSU's died every year or so 3rd is still kicking along a few years later. 3rd or 4th rma on my 160GB raptor, and I'm sure I'm leaving other stuff out as well...
