Need Help for Optimizing Airflow p182 case

So i'm having several problems with cooling in my case. When i close the side panel, it heats up 3-4C. The specs for my system is in my signature. All fans are 120mm.

Is there a way to get the bottom hard drive bay to have an intake in the front? I can't seem to fit a fan in there. Also the graphics card seems to push hot air both ways like in the picture. Any suggestions on how i could optimize my airflow would be helpful.

Right now my airflow is as follows from what i feel:

this is the orignal image if you want to paint some arrows so i know what you're talking about.

I have this exact case :) I recommend adjusting the flow at the bottom of your case and flipping the flow of your bottom HDD/PSU fan to pull from the front of the case and exhaust out the rear.
Here is the picture with change made:

make top fan exhaust, not intake.

make bottom chamber (in front of PSU) move air towards PSU, not away.

add ~120mm optional fan behind upper HDD rack pushing air towards back of case.

if i do two exhaust on top and only one intake, wont that degrade the cpu cooling? the reason the top one is intake is becuase i want it to give fresh air to the h60 that is exhaust

you won't have any "intake" fans

and how did your P182 come? top was exhaust right? Antec isn't just screwing around.

Had a p182 and got a 1200 - WAY better case. Air flow in the 182 is crap.

P182 looks nicer, has better materials, is quieter, etc etc etc

but I guess if you're obsessed with airflow...

Yeah i wanted some quiet. Looks like i'm gonna flip the top and the bottom rack around and add another middle fan and another one on the bottom in front of the hard drives.

I just sold this case not too long ago, so I'm quite familiar with it.

Your options:

1) Swap the top to exhaust as it is meant to be.

2) Get rid of the top hard drive cage if it isn't in use (doesn't look like it is).

3) Upgrade the fans. The stock 120mm fans Antec included on this case are AWFUL. Just before selling mine I put in some 1350rpm Yate Loons. Not only were they quieter but they pushed more air. Seriously. Keep in mind you may need to mod a fan (depending on what you pick) for the top exhaust as Antec for some reason used 2 clips on one of the sides instead of screws.

4) Mod in a 120mm fan above your optical drive as an additional intake

5) Get a video card that exhausts the majority of it's heat out the back of the case rather than back into the case (might as well get another case)

Switching the orientation of the bottom fan towards the PSU will probably do very little but you can attempt it as others have posted.

general rule of thumb is to have rear and top of a case exhausting, and front / bottom / side intake.

all internally mounted fans should go along with this, ie. moving air from front to back of case/bottom to top.

Your top fan is directed against normal stream of air so it's not really effective.

If you turn the fan on the H60 into intake,it'll take the cool ambient air instead of warm/hot air inside your case.

no shit, accept it as the nature of the beast. nothing you do will compare to having the side panel off.

I agree with Silent Knight

H60 fan should be intake. Top fan should be exhaust.
Front fans intake. PSU is fine.

Take some temp recordings for a few days before you switch. Make sure to record your room temps. Then come back and post the results (after you change fan orientation).

thanks i'll try some different fan configurations and see how it goes.

I have done steps 1,2 and 3, though I used Scythe fans for the mod. Did not quite test it all out to check how effective it is, but it just felt like the right thing to do.

But please do post your results tnt3k, whenever you can, I'm considering a Corsair H60 to replace my Noctua U12P. Well, I don't really need to do it, the Noctua cooler is awesome, but hey, why not? :D
