After an evening of fruitlessly searching newegg, google, ebay, amazon, hp.com, the ASUS-parts-store and MSI.com, I am at a loss about where to find a Crossfire Bridge that is at least 120 mm or more.

Anyone have any ideas? ... I give up (for now :p).

Thanks in advance.

SLI bridges aren't electrically compatible with CrossFire bridges.

hence the nvm

man, i cant find 1 anywhere, probably hanging out with the Loch Ness monster.

That bridge is the one I purchased. I skipped slot 2 and use 1 and 3 for airflow reasons.

they don't exist I had the same problem wanted my cards in the first and lat pcie slots on my mobo when I had dual 6950's and the biggest they make is 100mm someone should really stat making longer ones they could sell them for $30 a piece easily and make a killing.

they don't exist?!? hrmmm I must be imagining this one works...

You mean that CrossfireX bridge already linked in this thread? :p Also note that the OP wants one that is 120mm and those are 100mm...

True.

If you have

Then 100mm works, if you have

You would need something closer to a 120mm - never seen those layouts on trisli or trifire supported boards.

FYI..They DO make 120mm SLI bridges tho. (Got one a while back for a build)

Well that's probably a necessity... putting two coal-burning furnaces (Fermi) on top of one another wouldn't be good :p

The only reason I can think of why they dont have them (other than low demand maybe) would be the increased electrical noise and voltage drop over a longer wire run. I am not an expert on the crossfire link but it may not have the noise cancelation or transmission protocols like network hardware or communication hardware has like ethernet.

Thanks for the help all. Looks like I will have to settle for one of the 100mm Crossfire bridges....

Just got my new p67 board from asus and it came with a crossfire bridge that looked much longer then the usual ones. I have a 100mm bridge and it looked longer then that. Unfortunately I am not home at the moment, will measure it tomorrow.

Yup, crossfire bridge that came with the new board is 120mm long. Will update with Part#

An ASUS Crossfire bridge that is more than 100 mm long? Sweet! I almost purchased one of the 100 mm parts. Any idea on the specific part number yet?

Thanks in advance,

Yikes..........120 is very good.:D

I have 4 "long" Crossfire bridges, 3 ASUS and 1 XFX and they all measure 102mm.

My Rampage 3 Formula did come with a 120mm SLi connector, but a 100mm Crossfire.....odd.

Hope somebody can find out where to get these asus bridges, my 100mm ones are kind of blocking my 6950's side vent. Why would they put the vent right under the crossfire connector?

Here is the part number on the outer packaging ASUS P/N 14G030046610. It is a 120mm crossfire bridge that came with my ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution board.

My asus p8p67 ws revolution board came with a 120mm sli bridge not crossfire - maybe they put crossfire with it but mine came with two sli connectors - trisli and a 1st to 4th slot sli connector that looks sorta like a crossfire but its too narrow for the connection on the side of the card.

^^^^ This.

That is exactly whay I got in my R3F.

I think the other guy has the same thing!!
I really do not know of any Crossfire bridges over 100mm..........but I could always be wrong!:D

That is a negative. My board came with two sli bridges and one crossfire bridge. Here is a pic.....

The unpackaged bridge is the one that came with my board.

Guess my package didn't come with one. Center one and the far right look like crossfire bridges and the one on the left is the extended SLI bridge.

I received a standard bridge (far right) with each of my cards that I ordered. The only thing with my motherboard was the sli bridge (far left) and the tri-sli bridge that is non-flex. Cool that you got that middle one. I had to order one.

Took a picture of what I received with the asus p8p67 ws revolution board and one of my cards.

Left and center bridges came with my motherboard. Right cable is the standard crossfire with any card. I think Asus should send me 10 dollars credit since I had to buy a bridge to use both their 16x slots on the ws rev board.

You guys are RIGHT!!!! My bad. It appears to by an sli bridge disguised as a crossfire bridge. I have never seen a flexible sli bridge before. I just tried hooking up the one pictured to an nvidia card and it fits... so no luck on 120mm crossfire bridge.

Well you gotta admit, they could have been a bit more clear on their labeling of the bridge :D

I tried to hook up that flex-sli bridge to my ati cards and didn't work out so yeah.. I was a little angry to wait another week before I could crossfire my two cards. ocellaris has a good point

Yes, ASUS could have labaled them better.

The only way to be sure about these deals is to count the little notches at the top and bottom of the connector slot.....

If my memory serves me correctly, AMDs have 15 and nvidia has 13, or the other way around.

Obviously if it has big Crossfire or SLi lettering its alot easier but ASUSs tend to have no markings at all, nor do all their Crossfire bridges have those little tabs at the top of the connector, sometimes that's helpful, too.:D
