In the same vein as the four days of 2K sales, this weekend is three days of Rockstar sales. There is also a contest with the same stipulations as the previous one. Own one of the games from that day's sale and join a group.

Day 3: Save 75% on GTAIV Complete Collection
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 2: Save 75% on GTA Classics
Day 1: Max Payne and Bully 75% off

I'm hoping for a sale on RDR. ;)

Argh, don't remind me this game will never come to the PC. :(
I've had a blast with GTA4 and the "Simple Native Trainer" which gives things like playing as any character model, spawning any car, warping anywhere, etc. I've love that for RDR.

thanks, entered today's drawing. i picked up the max payne bundle during the holiday sale and have yet to install them. i should get around to that since i've never played Max Payne 2.

I've been told numerous times that Rockstar will eventually port RDR to the PC. I think if they were going to do it they would have done it by now. GTA4 didn't take that long. Oh, forget about LA Noire as well. Anyone promising that it will see the light of day on the PC is dreaming.

I don't see what the hype around L.A. Noire is. Aside from some awesome facial animations the game looks ridiculously boring. Oh boy, select different dialogue in interrogations and look for different reactions on the suspect. SOLVE CRIME OH BOY.

I dunno the trailer I saw kind of reminded me of Mafia, which is enough to get my attention.

I have no reason to believe anything other than Rockstar is just outright done with the PC.

If it's like Mafia II with a hell of a lot more to do in a fully realized game world then it will be on my shortlist for GOTY contenders just like RDR was for me last year.

A shame I'll never get to play these in glory on the PC. Glad I own a PS3.

Well...was going to buy Bully until I read how jacked up it is on the PC...even after the patch?

I played through Max 1 way back in the day when it first came out... great game. Never got around to the 2nd.... until now!

Bah... had to get the bundle at that price.

I wish Steam had a sale on time so I could figure out when the hell I'm going to play all these games.

same engine as gta4

So what?

Where's even the remotest hint that RDR is ever going to show up on the PC?

Let's use precedent: How long did it take for GTAIV to show up on the PC after its console bretheren?

Here's a hint: We're way past that amount of time.

It's never going to happen. Sadly.

Revolver wasn't on the PC either, I don't know why people kept thinking Redemption would be.

Wishful thinking and denial of fact: Rockstar is done with the PC.

If that Max Payne 3 game ever shows up, I'll be shocked if it comes out on the PC ultimately.

Worth getting although part 1 only gets a FAIR rating with 3D vision but part 2 gets a GOOD so I hope part 1 is at least playable as it would be quite a way to experience it :)

MP2 is, overall, a much better experience than MP1. They're the same "game" but technology makes MP2 a heck of a lot more cinematic, plus the story isn't quite as formulaic and predictable as MP1 (though it sure isn't great).

edit: I'll never forget upgrading my Geforce2 GTS to a Geforce3 around the time MP1 launched. It made a big difference.

That's a great price on the older GTA pack but I don't think I would go back and play any of them.

RDR was done by a different studio than Rockstar North (who handled the GTAs). Rockstar San Diego I think. They probably don't have a lot of PC experience and not enough to get a pretty complex game like RDR to work well on the PC when Rockstar North had trouble getting GTA4 workable.

I think they're just being very selective on what they decide to port to the PC. Maybe only their new IPs are not being ported?

I don't know. It sure looks like they're done from where I'm sitting. They put out the GTA IV DLC way after the fact but at least they did the right thing by PC gamers and finished the product off, so to speak.

Past that? I think they're done.

Nothing would make me happier than to be proven wrong, believe me. I'm a big fan of their games and when they do come on the PC, or did, they sure make it well worthwhile. GTA IV is a monumentally different game on the PC vs the consoles.

Yeah, I've seen the differences on YouTube.

If porting to the PC is an issue for them, they could always outsource it or have it done in-house by people who know how to do it right. I suspect that they are investing a lot of money into new projects and ports to the PC are not high on their list. L.A. Noire must have cost a fortune to produce and GTA V will probably break the bank.

I finally picked up Episodes from Liberty City. I was a bit disappointed to find that it's not just an expansion to GTA4 so it has to download another 16.5GB just for itself.

Fail, I bought the GTA 4 complete pack yesterday for $40, now its $10.

Gotta hate the urge to buy a game :/

Ok, I've played Bully and thought it was pretty good (despite the crazy interface). Would you guys consider GTA4 better or worse than Bully? I'm normally a Bioware/Bethesda kinda guy and I've never played a GTA before.

Better.

Is there a reason to not get Grand Theft Auto 4 for $10? I'm asking because I'm thinking of getting it.

Decided to try it out myself, I'll let you know. Preliminarily the only issue is that its a ~32gb download w/ the episodes from liberty. Might be an issue for some of you who have tight bandwidth limits.

Okay, so I've already got GTA IV, but not Episodes from Liberty City.

Should I get the EFLC stand-alone or just get the Complete Edition for $2.50 more?

GTA IV Complete offers every bit as much value-for-money at 10 bucks as Borderlands did earlier at 7.50 -- another fantastic deal if you somehow don't already own it.
