There is another Battlefield 3 trailer out today called "My Life." You've probably already seen most of the footage in this trailer but there is enough new stuff in there to make it worth watching. Hint: watch the ending.

The campaign looks like it will be a lot like Modern Warfare 1 and 2. I hope the multiplayer would be like the older battlefields.

Meh while the game will most likely be great I cant help but feel they're setting themselves up for a huge backlash.

While it may be the best looking fps around not many pc players will have anything near the specs of the machines they're demoing it on so it wont look anywhere near as good as it seems in the trailers. I doubt the console version will look much better than the average console FPS either.

Pretty risky move.

I would expect a game to look better on better hardware. What's risky, imo, is developers who make games with 5 year old game engines that look no better on a top of the line quadcore than on a low end dual/single core. Certainly that earns backlash from me. I think DICE is one of the only major game companies that 'gets it' in this regard. If people aren't happy with the visuals they get on old crappy hardware, they can't blame DICE for demoing on high end hardware, they can either upgrade of live with it.

It looks awesome. If the graphics are that good and the game is as fun to play as BBC2 then it will be awesome. I'll probably buy it. Jets and urban environments looked great.

I 100% agree. I would rather have a game engine that really pushes the envelope and pushes my existing hardware to the limit rather than one that doesn't look much different from an Xbox 360 to PC. That way the game can change and grow with my hardware upgrades and gives it some more re playability.

Well tell me what you think I need to play at that level of graphics and frame rate. I have two items so far for my next upgrade.Ati6970 and Mushkin 1000w. Will the Sandybridge do it for me. Has anyone said if the game is set for multicore . Not interested in more monitors yet, that will happen when the game play is fluid on what ever machine I put together.

WANT! Just need to start saving for a graphics card capable of powering this 30" Dell in front of me.

Can't wait for release. Already pre-ordered 2 copies, 1 for me and 1 for my brother.

DICE said they completely remade the frostbite engine since 1.5 and BC2. BF3 is on a new engine, it's just called the same thing for the 2nd version.

This game absolutely cannot come soon enough. If this game has a solid single player campaign, I am in on day one. I'm just not into MMO shooters because I prefer playing by myself. I don't play well with strangers, which is why I keep a relatively small friend list on XBL. This game could be the first game to put our PC's to task since Metro 2033.

If this game does end up turning into a very system intensive game, I predict that we will have a lot of whiners who will complain that they can't max the graphics options out on their 4 year old systems.

So if I read the ending correctly....

In order to get the "Back to Karkand", I need to pre-order the limited edition?

About the upgrades:

If you are a BF junky, you WILL sell yourself and/or your mama for a rig capable of playing the damn game.

I am set already with a 2500K and a 480gtx soc with room for a second if I need it.

Bring it the F ON!

Theyre gonna a lot of backlash if single player turns out to be another Call of Duty(insert#here) clone with scripted events. How bout some multiplayer footage? Battlefield was always about multiplayer! Im a little disappointed already they keep pushing singleplayer end level scripted footage ie - building falls on chopper, and multiplayer is nowhere to be seen.

Its still a LONG way off till the release....just squeeze your buttcheeks and pray to whoever you pray to that you get into the Beta.....

Sure am glad I just bought another 5850....gonna need it!

I enjoy the cinematic feel of a lot of the CoD single player stuffs. What i don't enjoy, is when i lose control of my character. Or short 2 hour campaigns.

Sorry I should've used quote, anyway I was responding to #4

Dear BF3 creators:

We need some UNEDITTED, REALISTIC multiplayer gameplay videos.....

---SIGNED (all the thousands of true gaming people who are waiting for a good BF2 successor)

But..But... Single Player isn't what the Battefield games are for...

I remember when BF2 used to be used on benchmarks. Second, bring it the F ON!

This is the type of game that pushes an upgrade generation, like quake 3, or bf42

thank you dice for pushing the envelope. now just don't screw up the server browser, again.

Finally, a game that will shake off the hates that are the console kiddies.

Hopefully we can get in a few more of these gems before the new consoles come out in the next 2 - 3 years.

As a PC enthusiast, it's taken BF3 to remind how our community has been under the rule of the console ports for far too long.

I think thats the deal. I for 1 will not pre-order the "Limited Edition" if its not available threw Steam.

Can anyone tell if that jet at the end was an Su-30 variant or an Su-34? I'm having trouble identifying it. The cockpit the pilot is in is most definitely an F-16, so that's one plane confirmed, but I can't tell for sure what the one flying by is.

Now if only players would actually have situational awareness and work as a team as shown in the trailer the game could be good alas the enjoyment will be ruined by those who spaz.

Also, what's the song/band heard in the first few seconds of the trailer?
