Water Cooled Wii

I think a Wii only uses 25 watts. It's like water cooling a clock or electric pencil sharpener.

Agree somewhat with Cerulean, but this is a little over the damn line... a Wii? There is practically nothing to boost or get better performance out of... its still going to put out shitty graphics so what is the point in spending hours, maybe even days or weeks to do that when there is no true BETTER outcome? If anything, you are voiding the warranty, if its new....

No amount of customization can change the fact that like a Preop transgender, deep inside it, there's still a fucking Wii.

Lolz!

The design is pretty sweet, but the water is kinda cloudy and has some gunk in it?

Why go to the trouble and then gunk it up like that?

Sometimes modding isn't about practicality.. it's about doing things you want to because.. you can.

Who cares why? His execution is awesome. He modded it because he could - not because he was addressing a design flaw.

Pretty much this..

That said, I would Love to buy this to gut and stick a PS3 or 360 inside.

it looks like some sort of radioactive liquid canisters you always see in movies. I'm trying to remember what movie it was where the canister contained green radioactive gelatin liquids and was in danger of leaking and exploding. It's an old 80s movie I think.

That is freaking epic. +1 Internets to you, good sir!

Because it's not water-cooled, it's "wii" cooled, using well...Wii.

Hey Steve - The link for "Water-cooled Xbox 360" goes to the WC Wii thread. I thought you guys only water-cooled the original Xbox anyway?

Awesome looking, but completely worthless.

Get out of here. This is [H]ardForum. You don't ask 'why', you just do and do it [H]ard.

No, I disagree. Even though I like the design, it's wasted effort IMO. Anyone could take the guts and put them in a different case.

A more [H] design would have been a mini-ITX core2quad/ 4 gigs ram/ ssd - install WII or other console emulator if you want - as wanted.
BAM!
Who's [H] now?;) If I had the time, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Hey, some of those electric pencil sharpeners can get pretty toasty with enough use, especially if you're the OCD type that likes to sharpen an entire 25-pack of #2's in one sitting. :p

It looks amazing and I give props to the guy but why in hell would you water cool a Wii? It's about as useful as watercooling a fish tank...

Awesome craftmanship and imaginative design. I'm impressed. :)
