Can I except bugs all over the place and people posting videos of NPC's heads rotating in circles?

Meh, looks boring. I enjoyed the first Elder Scrolls game, Oblivion was ok, probably spent more time reading about mods than playing the game. This one... meh.

If they fix the stupid leveling and stats system (everything levels with you and if you don't play perfectly and get +5s, you get screwed) then I will buy it. If not, then I will have to wait for a mod to fix a broken game mechanic. Let's hope they get it right this time!

If you remove the dragon scene it looks exactly like Oblivion minus the over done bloom effect.

This is another one of those games like Crysis where Im excited to play it, but not because its fun to play. ES4: Oblivion was fun just because it was a huge open world (for the most part) fantasy game with tons to do, almost too much though. There was a story, you just had no idea what it was even though you were taking part in it the whole time. Its just a visually fun game that you have more fun just goofing off than actually caring about the story. I hope this one is a little more linear and involved rather than a cluster&*^% of stuff.

Looks great, and hopefully it'll run well. We all know it'll be buggy as hell, but I'll take that trade for an open world any day.

I'm impressed. The engine looks like a nice step up over Oblivion's engine and the animations in the game actually look pretty good, especially compared to Bethesda's normal shit-show.

6 man co-op with friends to take down a giant Hydra perhaps? why cant someone make coop more than 2-4 people for gods sakes? and i mean on pc, not some damned ported coop garbage that fails.

Oblivion was the most fun I had in a game that I never beat. And I played it plenty of times. I'll probably be picking this one up to not beat it lol

This is an insta-buy for me. Probably even be a insta-pre-buy. Oblivion was easily one of my top games.

Oh yeah, I'm all over this one. An here I thought that this year couldn't get any better with the release of Deus Ex Human Revolution.

If they make the world even bigger than ES IV was, I'll be playing this one a long time.

Anybody here feel like the graphics look a bit dated? Hate to sound spoiled but it kinda looks like crap or its designed to run on consoles.

When you said the first Elder Scrolls game do you really mean that first one or are you refering to 3 (Morrowind)?

Considering this was more than likely console footage (jerky gamepad movements in the bow & arrow aiming scene) it is impressive. I'll have to give it a look at release...

Designed to run on the same gen of consoles that Oblivion did. So there's really only so much the graphics can advance. Definitely kinda sad in that regard, but I'm sure the game will still be a blast.

I'll still play the shit out of it. The animations look much better than Oblivion. I hope they do proper voice acting this time and not reuse the same 3 actors.

Don't have the same leveling system please! I was so high leveled in Oblivion I couldn't beat the game.

A bit, yea. Though I think the postprocessing effects, lighting and shadows will do a good job of reducing the dated look once in motion.

re:Oblivion
Dear Bethesda,
Bigger maps, and no broken/useless character creation please and a LITTLE bit more variety in the locations please (every cave, ruin etc = same). The magic implementation was boring and awful. You could barely make an archer class with the stock bows/arrows (unless you like clicking 2-300 times to kill a fucking bear at anything over middle difficulty) etc. Your game was fun as hell, but the mechanics behind it were dreadful.
Sincerely, everyone who ever played Oblivion (which I have, for perhaps 400-500 hours).

This better kill my video card with massive amounts of tessellation! Hard to gage the exact level of the various details in this resolution. I severely hope that it holds up at full HD.

Looks great considering it's still 8 months off and that's probably console footage. I can't get it fast enough!

I am guessing this'll be my next video card "upgrade to play" game. :p

Wait... what does this have to do with BF3? ;)

Obviously we don't get to see the meat and potatoes of the game but it looks lovely.

Looking good, but I found Morrowind and Oblivion so open-ended, I couldn't stay with the game. There was almost TOO MUCH to do. I should try and at least go back to finish the main story line.
Funny. Most people complain about games being to linear.

Its a whole new engine. The graphics will have a lot more room for improvement based on that alone.

Also consider animations were one of the least impressive parts of previous bethesda games... Im looking forward to what the 3rd person perspective will look like...

Awesome. Between this, Dragon Age 2 and BF3 (holy shit I about died watching the brief footage of it) it should be a very good year for gaming. Bad for my wallet as I'm going to have to upgrade the ol' Q6600 as well....doh.

Cant wait, ill probably buy this one on the 360 instead of PC, I bought Oblivion for PC and would play for weeks and weeks without actually doing any of the main story. Then eventually i would have to reformat a drive and lose it all just to replay the same stuff over and over haha.

Still, i loved every minute of it.
