I thought I was sold on the Atrix due to the dual-core Tegra and webtop, but the more I read and see the Inspire I think leaning in that direction. It also helps that AT&T has aggressively priced it at $99, which looks to be an insane bargain IMO.

If your upgrading from a simple phone or an old smart phone, than the HTC Inspire 4G would be a nice upgrade.

No front facing camera kills it for me. Its amazing how damn useful those things are.

I'm coming from a 3gs, wife is suggesting I go to a 4 for Facetime, but why put $100 more into a device that's not even HDSPA+?

Should be a nice upgrade indeed. Sure, its no Dual Core Tegra 2 cpu phone and it looks like another version of Sprints Evo 4G. But, it utilizes the 2nd generation 45nm snapdragon processor with an improved Adreno 205 GPU. Plus, it has 256MB more RAM than the Evo 4G. Also, its display is better. Using an S-LCD vs the TFT on the Evo 4G.

I wish my Sprint Evo 4G had the specs of that HTC Inspire 4G.

Since you have a 3GS (hardly a bad phone) im gonna be that guy that pisses you off and says wait. See what the iPhone 5 is, and if nothing else you'll have the dual core Snapdragon androids out by then. Waiting is never fun, but I do think the 3 months for dual core et all will prove worthwhile, whether its iOS or Android.

I'm not pissed...;) Even though waiting a few more months is going to be tough...

That's a very sensible suggestion since it's supposed to released early June. I've thought about the other Android releases on AT&T as well, I think there is supposed to be like 10-11 this year

I plan on using my wife's upgrade for the Inspire in a few weeks. In the weeks coming I can also see what other people are saying about the phone. The only thing I'm worried about is the battery capacity. My Palm Pre Plus has a 1143mah battery and the Inspire is somewhere in the 1200's. I can barely make it past 2pm before i have to throw it on the touchstone.

I do have a question for you guys though. My wife has a 3GS and I have the Palm Pre and both of us are still on the unlimited plan. If I use her upgrade and sign the 2yr contract for the Inspire, will she lose her unlimited plan since it's only the 200mb and 2gb plan that's now available?

My wife and I are most likely getting them on Sunday. We both have been using Samsung Propels for 2 years. Can't wait.

Well I picked one up a couple of nights ago. Build quality, screen, call quality, OS performance and HTC Sense are pretty awesome but the battery is TERRIBAD, so bad that is a definitive deal-breaker. That being said it's going back over the weekend.

Give it a week will ya. The battery takes a few full charge cycles to get its legs. Battery life is better than the Captivate and much better than the Evo, but obviously not iPhone 4 or Blackberry good.

If your coming from an iPhone no Android phone will please you. You can get used to it though.

Basically Desire HD, a pretty solid phone.

I've been using the Inspire for couple weeks... and it's just like Desire HD.

I would if it was for Verizon

You'll get something very similar to, and slightly better than, the Inspire when the Thunderbolt launches. The only real differences are the Thunderbolt has LTE instead of HSPA+ and has a front facing camera.
