For those of you that haven't bought it yet, EA did a flash deal on facebook and they already hit the proposed number of likes.

BFBC2: Vietnam at the EA Store. Use code BVEP during checkout and it should drop down to $4.48.

They said on Facebook that there were limited quantities, so you may want to hurry!

For those wondering, it doesn't matter if you bought BC2 through the EA Store, Steam, or physical copy. Use your EA account that you play BC2 with to buy it and it should be applied to your account. Nothing codes to put in or anything like that. I myself have a physical copy of BC2, my buddy has it through Steam and we both bought through the EA store without any issue.

Didnt work for me... but ive been waiting till me birthday this month to see if they give me a % off code, thats how i got bc2 last year :p

Really dumb question but how can I get notified if another deal comes up? I don't get how "liking" does anything notification wise for me...
 
I think their stuff pops up on your wall like stuff from your friends. I'm not really sure, I hate using facebook and found that deal from SD :p

Damn it. I got BFBC2 during the Steam Holiday Sale and I'm quickly reaching the point of not enjoying being shot from half way across the map by every single class. I've heard the Vietnam expansion was better in this regard and am patiently awaiting a sale for it.

the BC2 Vietman Expansion and SpecAct Kit Upgrade was $4.99 on Decemeber 30th, plus there were free games attached as well, Mirrors Edge, Sim City 4 Deluxe, Sims Pet Stories, and a few others.

We got codes with our Vietman Expansions that you type in on the BC2 interface when you are logged in.
The SpecAct kit gets added automatically to the email account you purchase it with so you have to make sure that that email is the same one as your BC2 account.

I bought vietnam and SpecAct upgrade for my brother and spent about an hour on EA Chat trying to get the SpecAct kit over to his account.

What so I can buy a combat game that doesn't let me go prone? Ridiculous.
 
I bought BFBC2 and am a little disappointed to be honest. Just seems like a frenzy of shooting with no real strategy (and getting sniped from miles away). I was hoping for some game modes similar to the Sabotage mode on COD where at least you can have more impact as an individual.
 
I found the game play to be entertaining and better than most games. I do agree that the AI long range detection could be toned down a notch.

Try rush mode.
 
Some of the Conquest maps really open up the field for long range kills. :/

As Darakian said, try some of the Rush maps. They feel much more intimate to me. Just be sure to have an Engineer on hand (or two or three) to tag the Tanks and Helis that eventually make there way about.

Also, use that assist button to spot, spot, spot, spot, spot, and spot some more. Then after that, do some more spotting.

Beware the Shotguns with the 12g round kit. They pretty much give the shotguns (many of them) sniper rifle-like accuracy, they just don't have a scope.

Aaaand...why'd this deal have to end so soon? D:
