Should I play Little Big Planet 1 before playing number 2?

I just bought my PS3 Slim yesterday so there alot of games that I need to catch up on. But the question stands, should I play LBP 1 before 2? Also how is the CO-OP on this game? I would like a few games I can play CO-OP with the G/F :)
 
No, and co-op is good, but very frustrating if the person you're playing with is of a lower skill level to you.
 
I mean generally. For instance I know my missus is no-where near as good as me at platformers.
 
ahh I see. I will grab this after work along with Inception on Blu-ray. It will be my first blu-ray ever. Fun times ahead in-deed for me.

LBP is a great couples game. A few other PSN games that my GF and I have played together is Fat Princess and Calling All Cars.

No need,the 2nd one is backwards compatible with all the dlc and the single player is way better than the first.
 
I would recommend it just due to the fact that it is so cheap at the moment and the story mode levels are not in the second one. I have both and will only play the second one after the first one is finished.
 
I agree..... LBP 1 was on the bargain bin by me for like $20..... If for nothing else.... It'll just be fun to play :)
 
The Scott Pilgrim game is pretty awesome too, especially if River City Ransom for the original NES was fun for you.
