LIAN LI PC-7FNWX

I see you finally got your cases - three PC-7FNWXs? Wow, I wonder where did you get your cases from?

Oh, by the way, the HDD and Power LEDs are on the Power and Reset buttons themselves - when you turn on your build, you will see the Power button lit up as well as the Reset button (which act as a HDD LED).

thanks for the reply mTECHIE, yes I got it, I bought from a german site (I don't know if I can insert the link here).
I got three cases because I need to build three computers, ok the led on the power/reset button seems to be cool, thanks.

Now I need to buy some lights to lightup the internal, I prefer some ledstrip instead of the cathode. :p

LED strips are well cool inside this case, is what I have done with mine as I felt that CC's over powered it all as I didn't want to get another sun tan while using my system. Should be pics of mine earlier in this thread somewhere & lastest pics on my flickr account too...

ps, can I connect the USB3 cable of my lian li on a USB2 port?

I have the USB 3.0 cable plugged to the USB 3.0 ports on back of the motherboard - do keep in mind you will get a slower speed if you connect to USB 2.0 ports.

Newegg deactivated this product. Why do you think they would do that?

Here's some cell phone pics of my 7FNWX. Ignore that red LED strip wire in front of the PSU, just temporary.

Blue LEDs

White LEDs - again, please ignore red wire in front of PSU :)

You mean 3-pin, right??? Double check your 14cm fan connector to make sure.

no one can answer here please?
My frontal fan have the 3pin adapter, but only two wires are connected to this adapter, this means that is isn't possible to calibrate the fan speed or to check the rotating speed, right?

There can't be any dust, its brand new! Haha

I think you're just seeing the graininess of the cell phone picture.

Moved the window inside and put a tint on it. Just used some static-cling tint I had around to see if I liked it.

Maybe not a good pic, but it looks damn nice in person. Gonna go ahead and order some acrylic. I also need to order a lianli optical drive faceplate....never noticed how much of an eyesore that is!

Has anyone found a CPU cooler that has a 120mm fan and also leaves enough room to mount a 140mm fan at the top of the case?

is there someone who attached the blu led fan on the motherboard?
do you know if that fan may be slow down dynamically? what happens to the led if you
slow down the fan?

do you know if our case support E-ATX motherboard?

I attached both fans to the motherboard. Depends on your motherboard if you can control 3-pin fans. I can't seem to do it with my Gigabyte P-35-DS3R.

The LED dims as the fan voltage decreases, but not by much when within the fans voltage range.

Does anyone know if you can mount a top 140mm fan when using a Hyper 212 plus cooler?
I took a quick look at the cooler you mentioned. If you have the cooler vertical with the fan blowing out of the back of the case, no known 140mm x 20mm fan will fit. However, it looks like the heatsink is thin enough that you could mount it horizontally with the fan blowing out the top of the case and still squeeze a 140mm x 20mm fan at the top blow hole.

I have just finished to build three computers with LianLi PC-7FNWX, two are mine, one for a collegue.

What to say, what a quality case, exceptional quality, incredible internal design, when you assemble the computer you feel the quality but...

...

NO GOOD.

Of three Lian Li cases, all three cases have fan problems.
Two case emit strange rumor from the frontal fan, one case emit strange rumore for the back fan.
This lian li fan is the worst fan I have heard, the strange rumor is random, sometimes you can hear it and sometimes not.

Exceptional case but the fan isn't so good and isn't very acceptable for the price tag of this product.

Did you add rubber rings to your fans when you mounted them? that would help in reducing the vibes your getting. I do that to ever comp I've ever built if they need them or not no matter the quality of the fans/case

its not a problem of rubber unfortunantly

I'm waiting on Newegg to have this in stock (They have the PC-7FNW)but I was wondering if anybody here has been able to get one and work with it.

its probable. :(

the noise from the fan vanished, it seems that they should work for some days before going ok.
Now no fan noise anymore, the case is really silent.

On the three lian li I bought one is making some noise from the frontal panel, its a vibrations noise.
I know that someone here got the same problem, how do you fixed that?

I have the same problem. The front panel vibrates slightly after a bunch of minutes the PC is powered-on. If I press the front panel where the Lian-Li logo is, the noise disappear, making me think it's a vibration noise (metal to metal). I still have to figure out how to solve it, because it's driving me crazy sometimes. I don't know exactly where the vibrations originate, because pressing on different parts of the chassis solve the problem, no matter if is the side panel or the front panel.

I posted this earlier

I located the source of the front panel rattle. The 5.25" bay covers touch the front panel lightly enough that they can hum with HDD vibration.

Suggested solution: Put electrical tape on the edges of the bay covers in a way that it fills the gap between bay cover and front panel but is not visible.

the only problem of this case is the aluminum screws but I'm really satisfied with it.

suppose that I would like to fit a waterblock, how big can I use?

Just putted a second 580 in this wonderful case, I need to say that a card longer than a 580 will not fit in in SLI configuration since the second card could touch the hdd bay.

I know that LianLI produces shorter bay for this eventuality but where can I find them?

Lian Li should probably sell a "no fan" version and knock off like 30bucks. I know I would go with it.. I hope they make a blacked out 9F. Yeah you can get them powdercoated yourself sure - but it costs a fortune.

What is a blacked out 9F?

Quick bump... anyone know if I'd be able to fit a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Advanced cooler in one of these?

It's 167mm tall (will be mounted on a Z68 motherboard, if that makes a difference).

it should fit without any problem.
I have a 158mm heatsink (Noctua NHU12P-SE2) and it fits largely, a 168mm will fit surely.
