I got 12GB (3x4GB) of Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600, also picked up an i7-2600K. Now I have to ponder the which motherboard to use with this. Guys any recommendations!?

I nabbed the MSI P67A-GD65 after the [H] review and I couldn't be happier. 2500k @ 4.2ghz on the stock cooler without skipping a beat. I'm no overclocking expert and I thought it was pretty easy to do.

How's longevity of this brand of mobo? I never own a MSI board before.

I'm strongly against the Asus P8P67 Pro as I'm an owner with 8GB of Vengeance 1600 memory with a ton of BSODing issues in win7 x64.

There are plenty of people having issues with these boards and I'd strongly advise you look else where if you lack the patience to deal with the issues.

I had originally considered the gigabyte but bought the asus pro because I was impatient.

Asrock was a subsidiary of asus until Dec. 2009. They are now competitors just like evga, gigabyte, or msi. That is why their quality is now getting more attention.

Extremely happy with my MSI P67A-GD65. Only issue I run into is sometimes it doesn't want to enter S3 sleep, it's just S1. I'm sure there will be a BIOS fix eventually. Stable at 4.7GHz!

LGA 1155 is only dual channel. What are you going to do with the third stick of RAM?
Keychain? :p

The ASUS P8P67 Pro has been pretty good for me, barring the double boot "issue" I was experiencing until I updated the BIOS, performed the RTC Reset, and manually setting memory settings. Since then, its been running great so far. I haven't overclocked at all yet though. There has been a ton of people experiencing issues with this board but then again, it could just be the number of people who bought it are quite high.

Pick your favorite flavor of poison at this point.

What am i going to do with the extra stick of RAM... I guess I'll have to pluck down another $56 and get another 4GB stick making it (4x4GB) for a total of 16 GB

From skimpy the site, I do see many people having issue with the ASUS p8p67 pro. Would a Evo or Deluxe make a difference. Gigabyte's UD4 is also tasty! I am also looking at the MSI as well as there is a package deal going on at Newegg.

I'm happy with my current Gigabyte X38 board, but the P67 boards look expensive and fewer features for the price. Read the current review on the UD7...problems there too. I think the problem is all the P67 boards are still too new and they all need to have the issues worked out. It's good to see Asus on here working on the issues with people. That said, I'm considering the Asus Pro or MSI (I have an MSI too and like it). But finances are making me wait until tax return time, and by then we'll know who has done the better job of ironing out the bugs.
