Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

My current Setup, Running 3xDell U2311 monitors, i7920 @ 3.8ghtz, and two 6970's in xfire after the hard ocp basically swayed me away from spending another $400 in AU on getting 580 SLI.

I particularly like the background a mate of mine whipped up at a lan when i went to pee and forgot to lock my computer :p

Only thing i'm now thinking about is either upgrading to dell u2711 monitors or getting another two 2311's and running 5x1 portrait. I just don't know about 5x1 portrait though :S. I really am missing the extra bit of vertical resolution with the 16:9 23" screens.

My photography skills leave a lot to be desired but I will post a few photos none the less:

Setup
Part I: Dual HP 30" Monitors (HP LP3065)
Part II: Sony Bravia LED-Lit 3D LCD (46NX810)

Helloes again!

Got the U3011 and a couple of extra 2007fps. Now they are eagerly waiting for the Sandy Bridge to hit Finland.

I'm not gonna use all of these in the same machine. Was thinking of a PLP setup with U3011 and two 2007fps and a second setup with three 2007fps. Time will tell.

Possible problem with the graphics cards though: been reading the HD 6950 manual and it says that CrossFireX disables pivoting = no PLP -setup. I'm gonna try and buy a third card -- probably a 5450 -- to power the side displays. The internets has some mixed comments about CF + 3rd card setups, so if anybody here is running something similar with just a CF or CF + something the help would be appreciated!

Anyway I'm gonna have a go at it. Sad that P67 isn't able to provide better PCI-E lanes than x8, x8 and x4...

nice!!!!

Added 4th monitor.

Seriously, I thought I'd never need more than 3 monitors but the 4th has proved especially handy for special projects ie. surveillance video (cams outside), TV/movies, downloads, multiple web-cams, gaming and research. As for a particular example (wife's course), "statistics" will get you opening many an excel file. My wife is continuing her education (nurse practitioner) and maxes this setup.

Pkirk, that's a nice, clean setup - good cable management on the floor. Your desk chair looks like it would be comfortable too.

And, thank you for your military service.

+1 ^^^

Great pics, btw.

Just got my powered adapter and wall mount in yesterday so I took some pics of the new set up of three w2408h's with bezels removed.

Hilarious pic, but I would not recommend 5x1 portrait. Those bezels are going to get extremely irritating even in 3x1 portrait if you're running anything less than 30".

I really wish PLP support existed but it's just not on the horizon at all. I am toying with the idea of getting a third 22" so I can play Eyefinity again, while maintaining my 30" for games that don't support it. I'd need a new desk, though, along with a longer pole for my three-monitor mount. Then I could have the 3x22" running above the 30", or probably makes more sense to have the 30" running above the 3x22", since the 30" is tall enough that it would strain the neck to look at the 3x22" if I placed them above.

Helloes helloes, a small update follows.

Got all the parts and amazingly enough everything worked liked a charm. 6950 to 6970 BIOS switch went smoothly on both cards. And even better, according to GPU-Z readings on both cards and the crossfire marker in game -- overlaps WoW minimap on the pic -- 69xx does support PLP with having crossfire enabled on the mainscreen, atleast everything points to that.

Next up, I need to figure out if I want to add more screens and how would I do that aswell as how to get that black matte finish on the side screen bezels and legs.

Not sure who was feeding you the misinformation, but PLP is always possible in CF - as long as you are only playing the game on one of the three screens. The thing you can't do is run a game across 3 screens in PLP mode with CF enabled. That's because you can't run any game across 3 screens in PLP mode unless you go windowed, and CF doesn't work windowed. Also, most games still won't work windowed because you can't just pick up the window and drag (or if you do the aspect ratio is broken).

One game that does work in PLP (windowed) is Eve Online, the MMO. Looks beautiful. Too bad it's 90% boredom 10% epic fights.

Been a reader for a short while. Finally decided to post.

Displays are two Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP-HC's. If any other questions, just ask. :)

hey skiz, nice setup. I'm wondering about your printer. Is that is the 1000 LJ model? If so, what OS you rocking? I ask because I've had no luck with win764 and that printer and would love some help with drivers.

Picked up a 23" HP WLED monitor with Display Port so I could get rid of the adapter I was using.

what desk is that? it looks really nice and clean.

The DIY kind. I wanted a good sturdy table that was pretty basic with a large top, but I couldn't find one anywhere. I decided to make my own. I built the tabletops myself and asked a neighbor (who makes custom furniture) to do the laminate. I cut 2" square steel pipe to my specs and had a welder weld them together. The entire project cost me about $100. I'd be happy to take detailed pics if it was something you were thinking about doing. It wasn't difficult at all.

It's the LJ 1300. I had driver problems as well when moving to Win7-64 but I found through trial and error, another driver that worked with my printer.

I am pretty sure that you are talking about the black speaker. If I swung the camera around I have a TV on the other wall, what you are seeing is the left surround speaker. If I spin around in the chair I can watch TV.

Or the lamp in the corner? Either or, that is what those 2 things are, lol.

Hello. I'm looking for a TV that I can use as my PC monitor as well. I've searched, but yet I have no idea what to look or ask for. I'm looking at a LG 32LE5300

I'm using a ATI 5700HD video card.
thanks for the help

I like to split my gaming pc (right one) from my workstation (left one).

I need 3 monitors for working and 3 for play.

I love it! :D
