Post your "rate my cables" here

Hi all,

Apologies for the 'not so great photos' taken on my iPhone 3GS.

Not bad for a $60 case and ~30 min extra work hiding cables..

mATX board for now, waiting for a good deal on a Sandy Bridge

I liked my 340 but it ran too hot for the HDD's specifically... I had 2 SSD's fail in a cramped enclosure in the 340 and 2 x 1TB's... not sure if it was related to the heat or not but they would burn if you touched them after it had been running for a while.

Since moving my system to a HAF912 the temps dropped a lot... idling upper 20's low 30's on the CPU (used to be more like upper 30's low 40's in the 340) and the GPU dropped about ~10c too.

My new case.:D
I need to get longer Sata cables so I can route them better.
*snip*

That's so close to what my old system looked like, it's scary. Drop in a DFI LP motherboard and it would be a mirror image. I loved that case so much though. Any reason you decided to fore-go using the PSU clamp?

Awesome cabling BTW, even better when you get those longer SATA cables.

This is a build for a customer I just finished. I really like the case and am considering getting one for my own build.

What does everybody think?

Looks pretty good. One idea would be to cover up the wires on the bottom with some kind of plate. Would clean it up big time.

That's the Lancool PC-K60 isn't it? Its the same as my PC-K62 just a silver finish on the inside as opposed to black like mine...its a great case..

About as good as I could get it considering inherent laziness and the stiffness of the PSU cables. Hard drives are all SSDs mounted behind the motherboard.

My new rig I just built last night!!! I need to learn how to sleeve cables.... :( but still don't think its that bad.

It is really annoying that Corsair doesn't sleeve there cables all the way to the plug, almost, but not even close.

Just do what I did....buy sleeved cable extensions! Adds a little bit more bulk, but it looks nice...without taking everything apart :)

no that is what I did :p

no truly I did, I still need to buy a few more too

the reason did was because the end of Corsairs cables are ugly

That's a great idea. Think I may order some now :p Just add a little more eye candy haha

I was surprised how much I like the black on black also. Cleanest computer I've ever built!

Oregon boys :D

I live up in Saint Helens, OR

If you ever make it up to Frys? they sell the extensions, otherwise I get them from performance-PC

I am with you there, on all accounts. and no problem.

My wife hates when I say "I'm going to Frys", "be back in a few hours" - thank god that place closes, I have been kicked out a few times for closing time :p

What case it that?
I think I just found my new one :p

that is the 800D ;)

the also make the 700D and the 650D will be coming soon

Thanks.
Aside from the awesome looking case, very nice cable management...it almost seems to clean, lol.

Unfortunately the 800D is not very good airflow-wise (at least in its stock configuration) unless you're going with watercooling. Fairly sure the same applies to Corsair's other case offerings. Keep that in mind.

Yes because they were designed with water cooling in mind over anything else. Water cooling this case was the easiest case I have ever done by a long shot.

I just also don't really agree, air cooling these cases would be easy to, slap on 3 120mm fans on the roof of this monster and done.
