Insane? PS3 $40 + s/h

awaiting responses in this thread on getting cancellation emails in 3....2.....1....

If it indeed goes through I will kill my own mother for not ordering one!

If it goes through my wife gets an early BD present. At about 1/5th of what I had planned to spend. It won't go through though. Less than a 1% chance anyone gets a single one, imo.

Exactly. On the off chance that Target is trying to clear inventory of refurbished/open box or something crazy PS3s, I put an order in for 1. Pretty sure it'll get cancelled, but every now and then I kick myself b/c good deals sometimes go through and I was a skeptic.

I received the two that I ordered. Prime shipping FTW. GL for everyone else that went in for this deal.

If you're going to attempt to troll, at least do it right. (hint: you should have waited until we actually reach delivery hours on Monday, not 1 AM)

Not to mention that Prime doesn't apply to items sold from Target, even if you're buying through Amazon.

It's all over. PS3 description is removed from order confirmation page. It's just blank now.

Amazon is merely a front end for Target. I don't understand why you guys are taking anything that Amazon puts up seriously. It's all up to Target's computer systems. Amazon doesn't actually have these PS3's in stock. They ALL are coming from Target.

Went in for one just on the sheer hope that this isn't an obvious pipe dream.

I'm guessing Amazon and Target are collab'ing on some form letter of apology for the item misquote as we speak.
This was in the wild for far too long for it to be reasonably actionable on their end.

Target will not hesitate to cancel on pricing errors. I went through this with them over the holidays with the Lord of Rings Trilogy pricing error.

Yea I Still have my cancellation email on that..

Honestly I see it being cancelled or having the controller shipped instead. & if the controller is shipped I will deal locally with my target stores about it since the add said it can be returned in stores & I have print screens & print outs of the original add page as well as my cart both showing the PS# 60gb, not a controller.

An Amazon pricing error through a 3rd party seller pops up in the Hot Deals thread almost monthly. None of the ridiculous deals have ever shipped. Amazon will issue a cancellation email saying that they are sorry about the error and that they can not ship the specified item at the price listed. End of story. In the past I got in on these just in case, but after getting a couple of cancellation emails I realized it was pointless and just tied up money on my credit card for a few days until the whole thing was resolved. One day I probably will miss something that I don't need being firesaled, but 999/1000 times the too good to be true deals are simply price mistakes.

I'm in the same boat. I don't believe for a second I'll get a PS3 but I have enough spare cash to buy a lottery ticket in hopes somehow I do.

FYI: As far as I know you don't get your shipping refunded if you return to a store, you'll have to go through the hassle of shipping it back for shipping to be refunded.

haha when the audio technica m50s went out for 11 bucks each, vs 110 regular price on amazon...

quite a few people got those. I got 5 myself and gave them all to my friends. However, that was during the day time like 1 hour before the shipping cutoff. So I was able to express 1 day ship 3.99 prime my way out of that. But I knew a lot of people who did regular shipping and still got it in a week.

amazon sold u a UPS driver? The mistakes keep coming and coming....

Damn wish I coulda gotten this anyone actually receive one wanna sell me one at a decent price?

1) This thread really sucks and is a *TOTAL* waste of time, patience, and resources to the entire populace of Earth

2) nobody got this deal I am 99.999% sure.... let's stop, think and use our brain for a second because I doubt any company is going to fork over a $150+ item to you for over $100 off.... nobody besides sony could do this price and even if they had a huge sale on ps3's themselves, I bet the ps3 costs more to make than $50 for sony even, so its definitely a 00.000000041% chance you will get this in the mail for anywhere below $100, let alone $40 as whoever ships it out just lost $100+ PER BOX! (highly fucking retarded and unrealistic if they actually did)

I don't like feeding trolls, but what the hell.

1. Cut down on the sugar.
B. No one really expects to get the offer, but we like to try.
III. It cost me nothing for trying. Nothing. Nada.
D. If they do happen to ship, which someplaces have done, I get a cheap PS3.
IV. Sony loses about $200+ on a PS3, they make it back on the games, controllers, etc.
5. It's all reward and no risk. See items III & D.

Thanks!

Not troll, more like thread realist

I know the answer, and there is no risk as you already lost the game. You lost time silly goose!

And your numbering there is "a little off" :D :D :p
