Sweet job on the CM Storm Scout! How are you liking your R.A.T. 7? Recently gave up on my Scout and went to a LanGear Da Box. I was never able to route the cables very well on my Scout, any chance of pictures of your cable management?

Nothing much but works for me....

Was just screwing around with the camera today...

Thanks, I will post a pic tonight. At first I didn't like the RAT7, just because I have had a Logitech G7/MX1000 for the past 8 years and took some time getting used to the different shape. But now, I really love it. The DPI is so smooth, and I actually use the "Precision AIM" button all the time while zoomed in with a rifle. All it does is sets the DPI to the preset in the software, which is much lower then the normal DPI.

Very nice rig. Cable management rocks. :D
Thanks, still needs some tidying up behind the HD and I need a longer SATA cable for the optical drive so I can move it to the top and run the SATA cable behind the mobo tray.

Just got back to school, here's my extremely cramped, sub optimal set up. I know the speakers are terribly placed :p

The desk on the right looks just like mine except it's the mirror of yours (drawer on the right side). I assume then your PC is on that little lift that would be on the right side of yours. I didn't like the keyboard drawer so I took it off, I also didn't like the wheels so I removed those too. I did buy the hutch for it though. Man that desk shows dust like a mofo haha but what do I expect it's black glass. Make sure you show your cable management cuz I have no idea what to do for that desk. Oh yeah does your drawer just fall off at the lightest touch too?

It's the same, except I took off that lift completely cuz the HAF-X case was too tall to fit. I do find the keyboard tray cumbersome and if it wasn't for using the logitech g15, I would remove it as well to go wireless. Oh yea, the drawer...If I pull it all the way out..BAM!! on the floor. So I never pass 3/4th point. Cable management? Since I'm dealing with black glass, I was thinking about getting some adhesive strips to mount the power strip upside down at the back beneath the monitor and route the cables with black zip ties with some type of adhesive along side one of the rails.

First time, be gentle. There is alot I'm not happy with (cables for one) and the camera made stuff look bad I think. But I recently got the desk and made this setup, still needs tweaking perhaps.

Be gentle, yet one of your posters says "No mercy"? ;)

Its from the game Left4Dead and it seems like a large portion of the people that post photos on here have the same set of posters. I'm part of the cool kid club too :)

I have actually had to get a new case, as much as I loved the Lian-Li PC60-USB it can't cool well enough any more compared to today's cases, but I don't have a pic yet with the new case so here's the old set:

^^ looks like PC60 is a perfect fit there ;). What happened to the flip-up piece of the keyboard tray? (the hole that it left kinda detracts from the picture)

Is there a difference of temps moving the case in and out of there? I am sure it is fine in there, but I bet you do see a difference. I did with my built in desk for my PC in my last house.

By the way, what is the size of the Samsung? 3D?

What is that, a 40" c8000? I use a 32" screen but I think 40+ would be a bit OTT even for me :p

<super snip>

Excellent setup! You and I have the same desk! I have always wanted to place something like another monitor on the top shelf of the attached "bookshelf", as they call it; however I was concerned about viewing height. Do you find it too high?

For a monitor it's not bad at all. It's not practical for web viewing though, at least at the size I have up there (19 inch). I use it for gaming. I'll full screen a game on my main monitor and put things like vent/aim/temp monitors on the bookshelf screen. I find for this, it's pretty useful. I wouldn't slap Photoshop on it though, that's for sure.

Thanks for the compliment =) This is my "Room 4.0" and I've been keeping a log of my progress since. I think I'm coming close to my goal though!

edit: Don't forget, since your not eye height with the monitor, you might experience dimming or fading of the colors because of the viewing angle. Don't get me wrong though, it's very useful if you need it!

It's a Samsung 46" LED 6000 series; yeah it's stupidly overkill and terrible for competetive online gaming, but awesome for single-player gaming, web, movies, and games that are good to play with controllers.

Nice set-up you've got there, how much do you bench?
