[H]orde SR-2 Owners Club

...and half the SR-2s belong to just five people.

There are eleven pairs of extra spicy L5640s, too. :) We really did corner the market on those things. (I've been tempted by the L5639s, but I'm resisting.)

edit: I think we're still missing a few [H]orde members. I'm pretty sure [H]K has one.

\Slaps forehead/ - Yes, HK has one with x5680s.

Also, clayton006 had one with x5650s, but is no longer active. It was googling his post that brought me to [H] in the first place.

So put HK down for 1 working, and one building, and didn't Nitrobass have one/some?

What SR-2? I don't see any SR-2's around here. No sir! None with an H70's on then. None sitting on stacks of tabloid sized copy paper for a base. And certainly none being subjected to 26.7 C ambient while running at 4.2 Ghz

Nope, no SR-2's around here! No way!

Hey now Comrade Detective. I think you are the token (Soviet) party member at work with his/her clipboard writing down everything  to report it back later to the Premier (SR-2 list)!

I may write in red but that is for reference to Heckler & Koch!

:D Ha!, Ha!, Ha! :D

Your uncooperative attitude has been noted Comrade [H]k. And your habit of using Party colours for communications.

The Party expects that every SR2 is accounted for. *taps cigarette* Every one...

Do the Cogage True Spirits bolt directly to the Xeon plates that come mounted to the SR-2 or do I have to swap plates?

The TRUEs which are basically the same mounted to the xeon plates that were already mounted.

Thanks nitro..

my trigger finger is very itchy today...

Wow, $11.13 for shipping!

It would cost me over $55!

I really can wait for my son to graduate in 7 years! Then back to the land of cheap gas and electricity. Wait EVERYTHING is CHEAPER!!

Fuck it, end of the year.. may as well go out with a bang.

Very nice. I'll post my specs and stuff once the SR-2 arrives and everything is running. pr0n as well, naturally, but it will be a little on the ghetto side initially. I still have to order a motherboard tray for my Mountain Mods case and some other less critical items but they will have to wait til next year.

Tobit just couldn't be a member of the [H]orde without an SR-2 and, quite frankly, Tobit is quite ashamed it took Tobit this long to actually get one.

With the screenshot below, I humbly request to join this most prestigious society:

europa

2 x L5640 ES @ 206x18
2 x Cogage True Spirit
2 x 3GB Kingston Hyperx DDR3-2000
1 x ATI x300 for basic video
1 x 74GB Raptor
Win7 64-bit and Custom Linux based on Gentoo (Dual Boot)

6900 = 138K PPD on bench unit

I think there is still more that can be tweaked out of this system. 208 to 210 BCLK should be attainable but the system starts becoming laggy
at 207 BCLK and I'm not really sure how much more volts I can push into it on air. I'm happy with 206x18, however, as I've been able to achieve
the 3.7 GHz clock speed I was wanting.

Nice job overclocking those Extremely Stable L5640s.

edit: oops, wrong button. so sowwy.

We have a new member. His goodies showed up today.... I hope he posts :D

that would be me. I have never in my days since getting a 8086 IBM clone seen anything so awesome that is the SR-2,

I have bought a case for it(and mountain mods tray) ill get to work in the workshop, even a window, for that beauty. i might put it to work on the bench for a while though :) there is a certain someone in front of me who put me down like a dog.

I had a racing cycling (bike builder not racer) background from back in the day when campagnolo components were the ultimate. they had a component group called "super record" the name is perfect.

oh and i have a buyer (the guy i render frames for) for the 4 cores and a regular speed $300 board(case etc blah blah) so i just need to find that nice pair of sixers:)

my excuse to myself for buying this was hey i can fold!!!! no its going to be the DAW in my studio. im upgrading everything to 64 bit now i have divers for everything. might as well be able to create some music between folding

Campy's SR gruppo has been revived not too long ago. Basically same as their Record gruppo but with components made with more parts that are carbon fiber for a small weight savings. There might be gearing ratio differences and/or greater total number of gears available for the SR this year, not sure. There are possibly additional options I'm not aware of, all in all making it more expensive.

Congrats and best of luck with the new build!

yeah new campy is nice and all they even caught up with shimano with shifting a couple of years ago, but Di2 is awesome as hell, it will be a while before campy can do that. absolutey phenominal system if you get to test it. the front der just "gets out of the way" so it never rubs, and when you want a front shift its almost like rear shifting. as for the rear, always perfect and never a noise. maybe the EVGA dual 2011 will be called the "dura ace" :)

I think shimano is more worried about Sram, they could probably do a competing e shifter before campy these days.

You road guys and your gear ratio talk.... Knobbys and Suspension talk for life :p

dont worry in a couple of years e-shifting will be perfected even for everything. even cross country and downhil

Lian Li PC-P80B case, you just need to drill one extra hole in the MoBo tray for it to fit.
A 850 watt Coolmaster PSU, a 1,500 watt Xigmatek PSU caused a boot problem in that it would not reboot if warm.

I have 3 with one on the way, and they all are running ES chips. Which ones specifically? I may be able to confirm your exact chips.

They are 5645s A0

Well I bought them, I'll just put them on eBay if they don't work.

Is that e5645 hex core? How much did you buy them for?
