Best PC game ad of the year 2011?

What's the #1 rule of marketing? Because I'm pretty sure they broke it in this video :/

I'm not sure if I'm thinking of what you're thinking of, but I sure as hell didn't see any gameplay in that ad about a game.

Oh, I was thinking of "Don't name/acknowledge your competitor in your ad.", but you have a good point too.
 
Nice game huh. The only info we get in it is "this is not WoW" and that dimensional rifts are in it, as also pointed out in the title of the game.


Unimpressed man. I have checked out the game, and it looks decent, but this trailer....
 
What would be hilarious is if people thought this meant there was new Wow expansion set in a different world.

I thought it was a funny poke at a competitor... it's not like it's the only ad in existence for the game or source of info out there ;). It's been... I can't even remember, since I last chuckled at a game trailer.
 
I liked the COD:BO ad with kobe.


edit: NVM, thought it said best of 2010 which would make more sense.
