Got a quick question reguarding running 2 GPU's under linux. I have them both folding under linux 1 is a gtx 480 this is the primary card in the system, and the Second card in the system is a 8600GTS I had lying around.

The are both currently folding in linux, I have coolbits 5 enabled on the 480 to control the fanspeed and keep the temps under control, Now on to the question I want to control the fan speed on the 8600gts but am unable to do so in the nv utility. Anyone have a suggestion. I have tried using nvclock but it will not allow me to do this either..... is there a guide?

Thanks in advance

I have no clue how to in linux.

Hope someone does.

me too kendrak, lol By the way the OCZ ram is working great in this box, running 1927 mhz 9-9-9-27, X6 is pushing 4.3ghz :D all folding for the [H]

The only way I can think to adjust a second vid card like that is to mod the cards bios.
Put it in a Windoze box, if you have one.
Then mod the bios so the fans speed up at the temp you want.
Maybe even mod the clocks as needed.
Then when you put it back in a Linux box, it will run at the correct speed, temp.

Luck ........ :D

Tigers suggestion is pretty much the best way to go, and how all my GPUs used to be run, when folding on Linux boxen.
