i just got a HT OMEGA Claro to replace my dead audigy2ZS, but am having trouble with the driver install.

i uninstalled all old audio drivers and have even run CCleaner's registry cleaner, but after i reboot to finish driver installation, i get to the desktop and the hourglass on cursur hangs and system locks up.

i have rebooted to safe mode and uninstalled drivers and same problems, so for now i have no drivers installed until i can figure this out.

specs in signature, this is on windows XP64, there seems to be drivers for XP64 in the latest file i downloaded, but i can't get it to work.

i am really looking forward to hearing this card, as i have heard good things about it.

all is good now, i changed PCI slot and got a new driver, works great and sounds fantastic :)

The only bad thing about HT Omega cards is that they rely on C-Media drivers. I suggest that you don't update the driver unless you're having issues, as new drivers will sometimes make a mess. I had a Striker that worked great with the included driver on the disk, but any newer would give blue-screens.

I've had good luck with most driver updates. I would recommend using the 8.17.92 drivers, even though they say they are for the eClaro only. They install and work for the Claro cards as well.

those are the ones i used

HT Omega doesn't actually update their driver page, they only update it to add a new sound card. Though their newest drivers are usually the same version as their newest sound card.

By editing the link a bit I found the new version of the Ht Omega Claro Drivers
