msi 460 gtx 768mb - 119.99 AR

It's taking every ounce of sanity for me to not buy this. Very sweet card for 1680 x 1050 I would imagine.

For anyone who's interested, TPU did a review. Here is the fan noise, and overclocking and temperature.. It's near silent, has great cooling performance, and OCs well.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, for anyone living in CA, or other states that get taxed by Newegg, CompUSA has a Galaxy 460 and an MSI 460, both $120 AR.

It's too bad it requires a rebate. But yeah that's a pretty nice deal. Can't wait for the 560 to come out now and see what a great value it might be against the 6950/6870?

Come on ATI, wheres your price drops? I've been wanting a 5770, but for the same price I can get this... /mind boggle

They've had great prices and much better than nvidia's for the last year. It's only been for the last month or two that nvidia has gotten off its ass and done something about it.

MSI rebates are indeed a bit sketchy, I've got some but not others..... but that's a great card. No doubt about that.

only if it was the 1gb version. the 768mb version is such a waste

It makes sense to think more is better, but the 768MB version's lesser memory does not affect the maximum playable settings you will get out of it 99% of the time compared to the 1GB. By the time there is enough memory being used to overflow 768MB, most of the time both the 1GB and 768MB aren't providing playable framerates. Unless you plan on going SLI or want ~10% more performance from the faster memory, you can pick up the 768MB and save the cash.

TPU's reviews including the two 460s show what I mean.
