As Bullies Go Digital, Parents Play Catch-Up

I think some people are not mature enough to comment on the issue. If you're not over 25, then you need to be quiet and just read.

As a person who went through 12 years of bullying through out school. (yes, all 12 grades), I can honestly say that emotional and social bullying made me a stronger person, along with more jaded, hateful, suspecting, and less tolerant. I also believe that bullying denied me some basic qualities of life that I did not deny others.

Like some, I was taught to not physically fight back, because I was taller and stronger than most other kids my age. When I did fight back (in my Junior year I believe), I pushed a kid so hard into a locker I knocked out 4 of his front teeth.

After I left my home town, I realized the real world didn't care about HS or your previous background... only who you are now.

Now in regard to Cyber bullying... if I found out my kids are ever bullied even REMOTELY like how I was, there will be no end to my revenge. I will go to the parents house and stalk them (the parents). I will found out what cars they drive and plant hidden GPS on them, and slash their tires while Xmas shopping, I will make it such a living hell for the parents that if they don't beat their kid's ass, I'd be highly surprised.

I am so sick of people like you who think "liberal hippes" are the only people who smoke pot. I am high as a kite still from last night (and about to go again) and I typed that very non-liberal post above you.

Man, why do everyone of your posts (recently/that I have seen) have to do with smoking pot in one form or another? what are you trying to prove to the interwebs?

Anyways...kids are dumb and will always pick on eachother. What do they expect to happen? Have facebook/social networking police that make sure you don't bully anyone?

Everyone over twenty five years old who have filled out the necessary papers for their maturity license, feel free to say silly things under the guise of experience.

There is only ONE possible way I would ever say is excessive "cyber bullying". That would be something like posting nude pictures of someone on their Facebook or something of that nature. You could define that as sexual harassment. Other than that, you're a moron if you don't just roll your eyes and close the IM / Internet Explorer / Facebook Comment. If you're dumb enough to keep those open, I really do hope you kill yourself because your IQ level should not reproduce.

How old did you say the requirement was to respond? Because with that 2nd comment your actual age might be past 25, but you have the maturity level of a 12 year old. /Facepalm

"Cyber-Bullying" is just another little catch-phrase created by non-internet people.

You can't bully someone online because there is no element of fear.
You also can't hurt a bully online because there is no element of physical pain.

Deal with things IRL or stop caring.

You might want to read the thread first.
