Seriously....click on the press release button. Never before has a press release said so much without a single mention of specs. They don't even say what kind of connector it has.

Yanno, for 25 years I've been the proud owner of several pairs of PortaPros by Koss, and I argue to this day that despite what they look like, all anyone really has to do it put 'em on and press Play and all that "oh, what horrid looking headphones" and other comments become meaningless almost instantly when the actual sound quality becomes experienced.

But these things, these Monster headphones... just another reason why I favor function over form, I suppose. :p

The price is high, and I'm sure the quality is cheap. It IS monster, after all.

Monster's non-endorsed IEM's are actually very nice. The turbine, turbine pro copper and turbine pro gold are surprisingly good given the name of the manufacturer. I think they are a bit pricier than they should be (but only by about $50 on each pair).

That said, these Daft Punk ones look horrendous and my guess is that they'll continue the trend of pretty horrible endorsed headphones.

My friend has a pair, they are probably the best bang-for-your-buck headphones out there. I think they look cool though.

Dear god. Can't wait for people to start buying them up because they 'look cool'.

Yeah, they're a little too over-the-top for me. :p

Edit: The ban would be well justified too.

Aren't these more TRON than daft punk (who did the TRON soundtrack or something)with the black/white/torquise?

I suppose if you wanted the look you could strip out the drivers from something decent and replace them. You'd probably end up with a pile of cheap plastic and 2 broken sets of headhpones but at least you wouldn't have broken listening.
