The Los Angeles Times seems to think this guy will have a hand in building a “city-within-a-city” as Apple’s new campus. Given this guy’s penchant for making huge phallic shaped buildings, he could be the perfect man for the job. :D

Apple Inc. may be gearing up to build a city within a city in Cupertino, Calif., its hometown, and what a sustainable metropolis it’ll be if architect Norman Foster has anything to do with it.

What would happen if you built a city within city within a city within a city? Would the city start to crumble?

This is where it starts. Apple clones acting as sleeper agents to foil the rest of the industry in their favor. Muahahaaha....

norman foster is my favorite architect, he makes some truly amazing buildings...

see 200 greenwich street, hearst tower, and 30 st. mary axe

very cool

... I herd you liked Apple campus, so I put a campus in yo' campus, so you can be cool while yer bein' cool!
If only this new campus encloses my college campus in Cupertino. Then every time I go to class I'll be inside a campus inside a campus inside another campus being cool while in school.

But wouldn't time go by slower when you go into the city within a city? We would need a jump to get out of it. I don't want to be stuck in there forever.

Theyll all beg for mercy when theres a fire and they send the "apple care" fire service. bwahahaha.

Great, more leftard ideology on how people should work and live. Well it's Apples money to do what they see fit. Good luck with the permitting boards.

WTF?

Apple totally stole my town from Sims 3.

Doucheville is actually becoming a city?!?!?!

I dunno, one random word posts with ~ at the end. The words have no relation to anything being talked about.

Why would someone do that? *shrug*

Apple and Starbucks go together hand-and-hand. I am surprised they haven't done a huge co-op ad together, maybe with facebook too.

ipod + mocha
macbook + vente frappacino

I can't think of a new word......a wannabe sophistication type of feeling is what these people crave. Pretentious almost but that's only half of what I want to describe

Hipnouveax. Because french words sound stupid when said by non french people, and always sound pretentious unless you're native, plus it has a false sense of sophistification. The literal anglo-french meaning is "new hip" so sounds like it means "new" and "hip" like crApple always think their products are. But it really means "new hip", like a hip replacement, because their crap is bought by mid life crisisey pretentious types. The prefix hip is part of hippy who are all douches. Also its an anagram of iphone "uau", where uau is like a lame "uau" sound someone who was too weird to be excited about something would make.

Or nouveauhipster? Hipsters are all pretentious and irritating conformists, and nouveau- just makes any word sound that much worse, plus if your a potentious person who wants sophistification youll want to be part of the "original" group, so it will annoy people...

I'm probably mean. :D

You're not mean by any means.

You're just telling the truth, and outside the crApple reality distortion field, the truth is painful. :D

From the comments under that article:

I'm guessing the campus design, if based off Apple's philosophy, will be walled off to the outside world.

Bwahahaha

And you thought the local starbucks was smug.

While we're trashing Apple and Starbucks for taking ordinary products and making them sound unique and sophisticated, let's bash sushi restaurants for marketing cold dead fish as something unique and sophisticated!

Sushi is not raw fish.
Sushi is cooked vinegared rice (with stuff on)
Sashimi is raw fish.

I see this said every month by someone for some reason. I blame hollywood. And people unwilling to learn 2 words.

Anyway in japan, you can buy vinegared rice from 7/11 and construction workers eat it for lunch. Its only in the west that people have this giant orgy of sophistification over vineagered rice (unless its a high class resturant).

Is wearing a turtleneck a requirement for being a part of this wonderful utopia?
