I'm looking for a good 23-24" monitor that will run in an eyefinity setup, so I need the cost of each monitor to be under 200 if possible.
I've been looking at the ASUS VH236H

and the ASUS VE247H

I don't care about tilt or height adjustment as I will be mounting them on a triple monitor stand, so having VESA mounts is a must. I really only care about the picture quality and a thin bezel design.

Just my personal opinion but the idea of spending a third of the budget on a triple monitor stand is kinda crazy.

Cost of monitors @ $170 X3 = $510
Cost of Ergotron Triple Arm Stand = $260

For that price I'd rather get 3 nice ips monitors:

Or the Dell

Just my opinion...

As for your two choices... I like 23 inch 1920X1080 monitors... I like the DPI... bigger isn't always better to me... but sharper is. If you're going to spend that many hours in front of a screen you might as well enjoy it. That and unlike video cards and CPU's... monitors will last 5-10 years unlike the 1-2 year life-cycle of those other components.

Besides the NEC listed above and the Dell U2311h, are there any other 23"/24" IPS displays I'm overlooking for gaming/professional use? (around max $350 per display)

HP LP2475w, ZR24w, or Dell U2410.... The NEC units are nearly the price of 27" IPS models.

because of the way my desk is, i can't really have 3 stands
the monitors would wind up being uneven

that stand will only support up to 22" monitors, and i really can't have a clamp style because i have a glass surface

BAM here you go.

Also forgot about the EA231WMi if you prefer NEC, but it's a slower panel than the U2311H.

That and the stand is non-adjustable. Can only had it flat across.

This has a decent following on this forum:

I have 3 NEC ea231wmi's, they run about $300 a monitor and really it's more a graphics card issue than a monitor input lag issue.

As for IPS, there's the dell, viewsonic/nec (same lg screen). The NEC PA series is out of your budget at $600 a pop.
