I love BC2. How is MOH?
Thinking about getting it
A friend of mine has both for ps3 and he swears by MOH over BC2.

What do you guys think?

I agree with your friend. But I'm in the large minority of people who like it vs people who bash it without ever playing it after it was release.

MoH didn't seem too bad at first. But after playing Black Ops and coming back to MoH yesterday, it now seems really, really bad.

MOH sucks so bad its not even worth 5 bucks. Online is pure garbage and the single player is doo doo (Beat it in about 5 hours or less)

MOH is not worth your time or money. Battlefield is where its at right now. easily the best shooter around. (& no folks COD is not the best shooter the game sucks hard)

I have MOH and played it non stop when it came out. I actually like the game, but the last I checked on Steam, there were roughly 400 people playing online. I would say the SP is better than the MP simply because no one is playing it. The SP campaign takes about the same time to complete BO.

Pure opinion. MOH is garbage I will agree but BC2 is not as good as COD. Thats my opinion.

COD is a no skill run n gun where Battlefield actually takes some skill. thats my opinion

MOH on a console is better than BFBC2 on a console. Thus where his answer is from.

MOH is the worst game I wish I could have my money back please... or I wish I could sell it, i bought it through Steam.

I play BC2 nightly and I might have a BC2 problem... as in addiction. :D

PS: PC gamer...

Agreed. BFBC2 takes some tactics if you want to win. COD is a joke.

Sorry this is the PC sub-forum, we got confused. :D

Was just responding to his comment about his PS3 friend :p I think both of the games are garbage myself.

I dont see the appeal of BC2, bought it on launch day both console and pc and regret it horribly. Played MAYBE 1hr.

MOH single player was pretty good, better than BC2's SP. Can't speak to MOH multi but I had a blast with BC2 MP; haven't played it in ages though, I need to pull it back out.

And like assholes...opinions and something er........oh wait.

Call of Duty is an FPS game. More skilled players tend to get higher scores than players who aren't worth a damn. Pretty simple logic. I'm not sure why this is hard for some elitists who hate on it to grasp that, but I'm pretty sure that's how it's always worked with FPS games since the first FPS games incorporated a multi-player feature. Battlefield is a more challenging game. I'll give you that. It's hard as hell to accomplish anything with medics sniping you across the map with M60's.

Anyway, Medal of Honor blows. The game is a bad cross between Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Battlefield Bad Company 2. Unfortunately it's captured none of the essence of what makes either game so popular. It's not nearly as polished as either game and just plain bad.

consensus is that black ops improves a lot over MW2
a lot of BC2 people love black ops
on the other hand a lot of BC2 people hate MoH
I loved BC2 a lot, but i'd probably get black ops next.

I like both the Call of Duty games and the Battlefield games. I like each for different reasons. To me they have different strengths and what I play is more often based on my mood than anything. Still I just couldn't get into Medal of Honor. It was just a bad parody of each.

This statement I will agree with 100%.

Personally, I prefer BC2. It's just feels more polished and enjoyable than MOH or BO for that matter (which I finally got around to playing at a friends). Single player is more tongue in cheek than either (which try to take the absurd things that take place way too seriously), and the multi feels much more balanced. Everything from the maps, to the difference between the classes/guns, to just the style of play.

Also, stating that I prefer a game because I feel it was better designed and implemented (and as a result, more enjoyable), is not elitist lol. Now, if I were saying something like: "Quake 2 was the last true representation of a pure FPS, and everything that has come after it is just a lame copy", THAT would be elitist. Thinking MOH and BO aren't great games compared to BC2, not so much. Just sayin. :)

bc2, there is no question about this. especially with the new maps, you get tons of helicopters and tanks all at the same time creating a huge battle. The new map heavy metal is comparable in size to bf 2.

Yeah BFBC2 wins this for me too.

Medal of Honor is the year's biggest disappointment for me. The multiplayer only needed to be BFBC2 plus killstreaks and minus vehicles to win it for me, but the terrible map design, invisible walls, unreliable hit detection and stupid upgrade choices (forcing a sniper to unlock a damn scope? Get real DICE - that's worse than making the Medic unlock the Defibrillator) just make the whole thing a complete mess.

The only thing MOH does even remotely better than BFBC2 is the sound effects for the weapons. They're even more fierce in MOH.

I've had the opposite experience with the sound in MoH. I thought they were far better in Battlefield Bad Company 2.
