MacBook Pro Memory Upgrade(late 2008 model)

Can I install 8GB of memory on my late 2008 unibody macbook pro? The specs say 4GB max, but I have heard it will take 8GB. Im really interested now cause memory prices have dropped. Im running bootcamp and would like to use fusion also.

Yes there have been multiple confirmed reports including screenshots of the Late 2008 MBP supporting 8GB. If I were you I would opt for Crucial as I have found they have better Mac support, but there is no reason that those G Skill sticks shouldn't work.

Okay if it ware true then 8GB would be way cool. I can't wait. Guess i'll stick around and monitor their updates.
