Is it possible to pass audio with a mini jack cable from my macbook pro to my PC? The way its setup now is I have a logitech system that is connected to a Windows 7 PC. The logitech system is connected to the green line out on my pc. If at all possible I just want to take the connection on my macbook pro and cable to my PC to output my macbook sound to the speaks hooked with my PC. There is a headphone jack on the logitech system where teh volume control module is. Is this not possible?

Either get a splitter/switch or just get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable from the headphone out jack to the pc line in jack. (it could also be a combo mic/line in jack)

What happens when you connect your Macbook Pro? (again, post a screenshot)

Try out all mic and line in ports.

I plugged it into my Mac with the mini jack audio cable, and tried EVERY port on my windows PC, and the headphone jack of my logitech 2.1 system remote on my desk (wired remote). I just dont think its possible to parse the audio into my PC and out the speakers, :(

Sorry for making you do that then.

For me, I just hook up my Macbook either via Optical or via a 3.5mm cable and it works fine on both of my computers. (They are Windows 7 as well)

Macbook Pro -> 3.5mm stereo cable -> Line In of Desktop Computer

Desktop Computer Line out -> Speakers

I plugged the 3.5mm cable form my mac to the line in (green colored input), and my green cable of my logitech 2.1 system into the line out of my PC (pink colored input right?, Ive never had to use line in), nothing :( ...ill try again in a sec
