I would like to not only be able to hear every demon spawn Nazi gurgle its last breath, but be better able to skype my family afterward, and maybe even get some peace while at work!

So my ears don't strangle me in my sleep when it needs to deal with my 20$ Logitech wraparound headphones, which of course will prevent me from gaming...

would love a pair of these. i don't have an environment conducive to speakers and would love to have a nice set of cans to cover all aspects of computer audio.

So I don't have to hear my neighbors having rough sex at all hours of the day, I wish I had their energy or even a gf more importantly.

Can't have the folks sneaking up on me! If I can hear them coming, they're sure to bite the dust!

I have nothing witty to say. I simply don't own a headset and can't turn my speakers up while living in a studio apartment. I would like to listen to both music and in-game sound at a louder volume.

To drowned out the screams of this girl I have in a well so I can listen to "Goodbye Horses".

I want to remember what it was like to hear subtle sound effects over the screams of my video card fans and enjoy my music without rousing the ire of my wife.

Everyone knows hearing every intricate detail in your environment can give an advantage in gaming. What would be better than using well respected Corsair HS1.

because i dont want to wake my girlfriend up while im watching porn, my speakers are just too loud, also it bothers the neighbors

I play alot of 1st person shooter games and having a good pair of cans makes all the difference between stalking or being stalked!!!!!

With speakers, I can't crank the volume up without disturbing my wife. Conversely with a good set of earphones, I could cut out the outside world (My wife calling me downstairs to do some chores), and immerse myself in the game.
My game of choice, Civ 5

but seriously, my old logitech speakers are quite awful. They have an issue with volume clipping, that forces me to turn the amp up way higher than i would like it to be . I'm looking to eliminate them all together, and replace them with a quality headset, which would also stop my friends from raging about the poor quality of my desktop microphone.

I need to hear my games so that I can tell what the heck is going on, versus turning off the speakers so that my dorm room friends can sleep.

i need to be able to hear terrorists footsteps when they're creeping up b-tunnels on de_dust2 so i can have the advantage because my current headset doesn't do the job.

I need to hear all the witty comments in vent prior to guild raids (without my son hearing them as well).

So that the wife thinks I'm doing homework while I'm playing WoW!
and...to look cool. Well, 1 out of 2 isn't bad.

I need to hear better so i can hear enemies trying to sneak up on me, and also so i don't have to blast my speakers at night.

You know when you're playing a shooter and you keep dying and it's always the same guy? He's keeps spouting off about how you're so easy to kill, you suck, etc.. Well I don't have a headset and just once... just once... after I kill him and get revenge, I just want to ask him "Hey, who just got killed by the guy you said sucks?"

I value music quality over just about everything else in games. A headset that would give me better quality sound then what I'm currently using would be most welcome.

I can already see my enemies driven before me, but now I need to hear the lamentations of the women.

I have a five year old sleeping in the next room and need some nice cans to hear the game without waking him up

I need to retire my crappy skull candy ear buds. And maybe my guild members will finally hear my voice in raid!

I need to hear games better so I can converse with friends in SC2 without being concerned about annoying mic echo...

i absolutely need to hear what is going around my, especially when doing first person shooters. i hate getting snuck up on and killed.
