LIAN LI PC-7FNWX

I bought the 60FNWX. I think it is pretty much the same as 7FNWX.

And I bought Thermalright x-silent 140mm, installed on the top panel, thought that might improve the air flow a bit.

Unfortunately, I found that the fan will hit my TRUE fan clip.

Yeah i have noticed its pretty tight up the top there with my case. I got a strip LED wrapped around my top exhaust fan and I couldn't close the top without taking the fan out, putting the top on and then screwing in the fan with led strip on.

I might be getting a 140mm x 20mm fan, not sure if it will give me enough clearance.

or I might try to rotate the heatsink 90 degree so that the clips will be at memory side, in this case I am not sure if I can still have push-and-pull set up.

I bought an Aerocool 140mm x 20mm fan to try and squeeze it in the top fan hole with the TRUE installed; no go. Although, I did not try mounting the TRUE exhausting through the top...

Thank you. save me 20 bucks. I would still prefer a fan installed on top panel.
Thinking that might help the temperature a bit.

I'm wondering if you can fit a fan at the top if you use the Thermalright fan holders as opposed to the clips.

i.e. http://www.svc.com/fh-venom.html

It looks like it doesn't jut out at the top, so it's worth a shot!

EDIT: I went ahead and ordered a pair and will post back here if I feel you can fit the 140mm fan (I will use a 120x25mm fan to see if there would be enough room.)

Update: I received the fan holders and, unfortunately, they are about the same thickness, if not thicker, than the fan clips, so no dice on the top fan :(

Heres my 6FNWX - Same as the 7, but the front bezel is different.

I waiting for the 69xx series to come out. It's my "temp". LOL! Though, I am tempted just to crossfire the 6870. Not sure yet.

I got 3 more hard drives coming into it.
I thought I have extra power for future upgrades, then lack of power later down the road. yet, I had a fairly good deal on it.

I choose this over the 7, because it was within range of my price ($40 cheaper for a different grill, yet everything else is the same, not worth it), yet alone, I like the simple grill look, then the thicker 7 series. Overall, it looks sweet in person, not a regret.

in italy both 6 and 7 version got the same absurd price.
189€ == $265

mad price but congratulations for your new jewel.

the hole on this case for the heatsink is quite small,
I hope that I will not have problem with Noctua U12P-SE2 backplate.

No one uses a noctua with this case?

Been running great for a while now. The case does a good job of removing heat from the CPU. Even under full load on a hot day, the temps stay under control on the 920, which is good given its an older C0 chip at 1.35v :)

How about you?

Cool Cool - I'm making some few changes with my built :p
Hopefully, when it done, I'll post some pics of it soon.:cool:

This is how "The HIVE!" currently looks, still waiting for the Lian Li EX-553 SlimCD 5.25" Bay Adapterr & Lian Li BZ-S01 Media Card Reader. Going to mount the switches on one of the 5.25 Bay covers too. Going to do somehting about the light leaking though the bays too & hook up the LED's for the Intake front fan too

Took this while testing out my ram, found a bad stick, returned it to KustomPC, bad stick was confirmed and got new memory pretty quick after.

Got some cable tiding to do, most of those are for the LED strips as I made sure I had extra lengths of wire to make sure I can wire them up anywhere I wanted. Also need to put in the Data drive too

As requested.

Note: I don't like the buttons on the top so I'm moving them to the front panel

How I mounted my H70 CPU Cooler :cool:

@crazybee,

Nicely workman built you got there. Are you planning on doing some overclocking after you finish your built, crazybee, or no??

Yea, they normally both go for the same price, though, newegg was the only place that had the slight price difference. Thanks bud, I will definately enjoy this jewel.

@ins,
Look like you got your cable managed well in that case - look clean inside. :cool:

Yea, It had more room then I thought in the back, it as my only worries when I decided to order the case, but the case came as wanted and expected.

@crazybee - Very nice, a little wire tuck will make magic! Try inserting your hard drive trays in backward, it will stick out 1cm but will lock in perfectly tight and won't affect the side panel from closing (check my pict above). So you can hide all those cables. Keep us updated.! I will need to order some extra fans and misc peices to finish off my build as well. More hard drives will be install soon + raid ssd & 1+ more video card.

I did exactly the same thing with the hard drive bays on my build this past June :)

Hides the cables well.

Yeah I will hide the cables, I've turned the HD round just like yours the wires you see there are the ones I made for my LED strips which I'm going to either connect to a swtich at the front of the case at some point. I just made sure I had good lenghts so i wouldnt have to pull it apart later on

@sblantipodi,

Are you looking to get the PC-7FNWX case??? What your thoughts on this sweet case you got your eyes on? :D:cool:

Yes, I always loved the Lian Li design and accuracy in the details.
Unfortunantly I will buy it on January when Intel Sandy Bridge will be released and I will buy a new PC.
I really like it, I don't know another mid-tower with the same minimal but cool look,
the bad is that it costs too much money, 189€ are a lot of dollars and this isn't so good.

January? Wow, that's such a long wait, huh. Well, that just a couple more months or so. Beside the new Sandy Bridge, have you gather what parts you are going to put into this quality case or no?

I got my case a few months back - I had to pay a premium for it but I love it - such a quality case from Lian Li.

Sure, I will put in an
I7 2600,
evga (non sli but raid and only if it will support EFI bios, I will buy Asus instead) motherboard with LGA1155 for SandyBridge,
nVidia GTX580,
8GB of "standard" Corsair RAM,
a Enermax 600W PSU modu87+,
and I don't know if I will choose the WD Black 2TB or Velociraptor 600GB.

Why you are asking me?
