I have an x-650 in my gaming machine and love it- exactly what I want in a PSU: High efficiency, low noise, great regulation, reliable, cool. Modular cables is an added bonus :)

I look for a PSU that is quiet and stable. Would love one of these for an HTPC build.

Reliability and silence.
If I am not thinking of it or hearing it, it's doing its job.

what I look for in a PSU is modular cables, quiet fans, high efficiency, and easy to clean (lots of vents) to remove the dust that will eventually find its way into the unit.

I look for durability and reliability of use. Being able to hold a steady voltage and be efficient is nice as well :p

1. Reliability
2. Efficiency
3. Amperage/Wattage
4. Acoustics/Noise

These are the main criteria, balanced with price. Seasonic has met that very well in the past and present.

I look for price, reliability, stability in rails (previous PSU gave me some issues so I really made that a must) and at least a 3 year warranty (once again last PSU made me a bit paranoid). I use to buy mid range power supplies quality wise but since I have had a few failures I have gone to the top quality PSUs to power my gear.

Stable voltages. Had a PSU running non-standard voltages slowly killing all my components before I took a multimeter and figured out what was happening. :(

First of all, reliability of power, secondly, quietness. The rest is just cherry on top

I like the reliable even voltage of my SS-850HT and the single 12 volt rail

I look for a power supply that puts out clean, stable power at a reasonable price. If it isnt reasonably priced, no matter how good, i look at something else.

-good brand name
-good warranty
-good reviews and/or innards (if info is available)

I look for build quality, low noise, and high quality output power.

I've used seasonic power supplies for quite a few years and have been happy with each one that I've used.

I look for durability, efficiency, smart design philosophy, and well constructed modular connections.

The first thing I look for is HardOCP's review on the product to see if it is worth buying...

I bough a new PSU cause my new board kept powering on and off for no reason, and now I realize that its because of the ram. Im running 8GB in total of Patriots with my Asus Sabertooth, not sure why it does that, even running the Intel Tuneup Memory test - doing a stress test it fails just after 3minute. It runs better with 4GB instead of 8 but not fully stable, Ill have to switch memory, need to have 8GB stable memory. My second machine PSU will not last long, The Seasonic would be it :)
