trying to replace 6800oc at the moment for agp for a computer piecing together
but trying to spend about less than a hundred anyone know where I can start for a decent agp? thanks in advance

*edit
let me rephrase this -> trying to possibly replace 6800oc agp with something less than a hundred that they still sell online

I have a Sapphire X1950 512mb Pro AGP... I think it was the fastest AGP card ever made. I would part with it for $85 shipped or I have a BFG 6800 ultra for $60. Let me know if you want some pics. I'll pm them right over.
P.S. the Sapphire was barely used more than 3-4 months before i retired it to upgrade to a PCI-E board. but the BFG was used for a couple years. Still works great though just did some old 3dmarks on it to check it out.

X1950, HD 3850 or HD 4650 AGP will be the best choices you can get... You shouldn't have to pay any more than $60 for one of these cards here @ [H].

thanks I thought x1950 is one gen above the 6800 and that the compete ati was x800x
and is the 3850 better than 4650?
will I see a huge improvement from 4650 vs. my current 6800oc?

I have an X1950Pro with a noisy fan I'll sell for $45 shipped.

oh another thing so any psu that powered my 6800oc should be able to power this 3-4 gen advanced 4650 correct?

thanks
thank goodness I thought I have to upgrade my psu making this upgrade 120 dollars + with the whole next gen power hungry video card

Looks like the fastest AGP is the 4670, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra $ over the 4650. Maybe someone remembers?

will I at least double the frames with 4650 I have the 2 gig of memory with amd 64 2800+

man ive been looking for a replacement agp card for my loud ass bfg 7800gs. and from what i've gathered the 3850 is the better card with a memory bandwidth of 256bit vs the 46xx series' 128bit.
that is if power consumption isnt an issue.

and these ati cards are way more powerful then the 6xxx & 7xxx cards from nvidia, i read somewhere that the 3850 & 46xx cards are equivalent to the 9600gso and those only come in pci-e.

If I remember correctly the 3850 has poor driver support. Someone correct me if im wrong.
