Nice find!

I sing the praises of Logitech LCD's often, on this board.

Zune, Vent, Fraps, and system monitors on your keyboard are so f-ing nice.

However, Windows SideShow is tragically under utilized.
 
Fuck it I'm in for one especially since it works for the Zune software.
 
For those that ordered one, post back if your space bar is wobbly. Just curious.

I never bought one, but I do have one already and my spacebar wobbles if I rest my fingers on it and move them back and forth.

Kinda like every spacebar I have used.
 
Where are you getting Zune support from? The LCD does not display media info and the media buttons don't work, even when Zune is running in the foreground.

You're going to need something like this to make Zune work with your software.
 
Would anyone be willing to trade this one for the older g15 keyboard with flip up display? I can send pics it's in great condition.

I found that last night, if it wasn't for that I probably would've pass on it.

So what are the other recommended apps for this keyboard? Does anyone know how hard it is to replace the LEDs? I'm not really digging the orange and would prefer blue.
 
Wish they would just re-release the original but spread out the main keys more. This second version has two less columns of macros; did they use that space to create more distance between the main keys, or did they just shorten the keyboard?

You can change the colors to anything you want. You can even download an app that will continuously rotate the colors.

And I know what you mean about the Zune integration. When I see something Zune-compatible, it goes straight into my cart.

I thought the G15v2 was stuck to the amber backlight without removing them. What app changes the backlight then? I've been looking at the G15 forums but I'm not seeing anything like that for the G15v2.

I really like my Zune 120. I hated the software at first but now I don't mind it other than it loading kinda slow. Too bad everyone is iPod crazy...

Every key on the thing is wobbly, especially the \ key, and my comma hardly works, this keyboard is a piece of shit.

Also, after one day the key backlights are stuck on full and the button will only control the backlight of the LCD. I got it a while back on another dent box deal for I think $55, and I'm very disappointed with the quality.
 
My brother has had his for like 5 years now.. Never had an issue... Wish last week was payday I'll have to hope this is still around come this friday. Need to replace my Eclipse II..
 
I got one of these on the previous deal, damn left/right arrow keys just stopped working and on my numpad in windows the numpad works as just arrow keys (no numbers) an din bios (where I need arrow keys) they work just as bloody numbers!).

Popped off the keys, cleaned everything, no reason it shouldn't be working, just randomly stopped.

My old Compaq keyboard was just a generic keyboard but it lasted a good 5 years, this one didn't even last a whole year.
 
Sounds like the boxes must have had some pretty significant dents in them. I bought my G15 used on ebay and aside from a space bar that acts like a see-saw it's been working great.

Nah mine looked new, it's just not a very nice keyboard for it's msrp, or really even for $50. I prefer my oem crap hp/dell keyboards except for the backlight.
 
so i see a lot of people very happy with it and a lot of people really disappointed with it.

i hope i like mine.
 
Amazing deal, thanks for the post. The LEDs on my 5 year old Saitek Eclipse finally died, so I was looking to replace it and always kind of wanted to try out one of the Logitech gaming keyboards. This will work great.
 
I got my G15 today. The box it came in wasn't even dented. Looked perfect, not like that really matters since as long as everything inside is alright. First thing I did was disable the Windows Button, I hate that button and I never use it. This post is really the only time I've had to really type on it. I like it so far, it has a nice feel. The space bar is a little wobbly but not bad, my Logitech MX3200 was worse. I downloaded some apps, it's pretty sweet to have the weather right there on the keyboard (I actually think my wife digs that too) with LCD Miscellany. I got the Zune plug in and that works great. My only gripe is a small black dot under the clear plastic on the LCD, I can move it around a little. Not a big deal but kinda annoying. I may open up the keyboard at one point and remove it. Overall I'm impressed with this keyboard. XD Maybe one day I'll replace the LED's with blue ones.
 
mine came today!

not a single dent on the box, the keyboard and everything is in perfect condition. the spacebar seems solid too, not sure what people were complaining about. i am upgrading from a super old G15 with flip out lcd and usb1.1 hub and this new keyboard feels great.

setting up apps now, can't wait for zune app and others.

great buy so far!
 
lol the new one is usb1.1 as well, I guess it's not a problem when you upgrade from one crappy keyboard to another.

you've got me optimistic ! Shows mine showed up yesterday, i'm away from home but should be able to grab it over the weekend.

If the box is not dented, I'll be sure to give it some damage (think: bowling ball, large rocks, uncarved pumpkings ;) ) to verify it lives up to the marketing name :D
 
mine came today also and I was pleasantly surprised to find a non-dented box. Still sealed and looked like it just came right off the shelf. Opened up the box and couldn't find a scratch anywhere!:D
 
I bought five of the "dented box" G7s last year or so and none of the boxes were even scuffed. I'm not sure what constitutes as dented, but maybe Logitech has these sales to push product, and eventually fills orders with normal units?
 
Got mine yesterday. Box was undamaged and the keys including the spacebar are tight. Far as I can tell it's new. Was a lil oil on a few of the keys that came off easily with a napkin. :p
