Step1: Kill a shit ton of people
Step2: Drag all said dead bodies into room
Step3: Put a chair in the center of the room and take a seat

Congratulations you are Dexter.

So yeah evil for me :D

Generally speaking I'm a goody-two-shoes, but they throw you into moral cluster fucks anyway kind of like Dragons Age Origins, you end up on the wrong side of some one, or some faction no matter what you do, short of staying out of all disputes.

I tried playing a chaotic evil character and I couldn't really put up with it for too long, it's a bit 1 dimensional, you sort of beat up, steal and take anything you want and you almost kill the story because of it. It was always easier to shoot up the place and simply take all the best weapons and gear but half the time you missed all the side missions etc.

Fallout 3 was built very well for being both good or bad though, most games don't handle that well, there are perks and drawbacks to both.

Always good, I tend to try to play the game character as I would play myself (and try to make them look like me as well). If I make evil choices I always feel bad.

Nice thread

Usually I lean towards good because of the rewards and stuff, but one thing I am not is merciful hehe

There's always that bandit or good-for-nothing bastard that jumps on you and after you beat the crap out of them, they just start with all the pleading, so usually I tell them I will spare their life if they give me something (info/money/item) and after they hand it down SNAP stab IN THE FACE

MWAHHAHAHAHA

:p:D

I guess for new vegas whilst being good or evil does matter, if one faction hates the living crap out of you [in my case powder gangers & Caesar's Legion hate me] I just wear their armor from one of the guys I killed and they wont attack if you got their armor on. then later i just use vats on them when im close enough and get all of them :)

This video makes a compelling argument for the evil route in Fallout 3, I have to say.

When I played through Fallout 3, I played a "mostly" non-violent rogue type. Basically, I considered it to be an interesting challenge just to try and rummage around through nearly every container and off-limits area to see what special gear and items could be found. Of course, pretty much anything that posed a direct threat got mowed down.

I wouldn't necessarily consider Dexter evil, if we're being honest.

I don't think killing or stealing is inherently evil, but maybe I have a very different view of evil than most people do.

I believe butchering innocent people is evil.
I believe tyranny is evil.

In a wasteland scenario I would act quite differently than I do now. People would never get the benefit of the doubt, sharing would be very limited unless I was traveling with the person. Trust would only go so far as to situations where it would not put my life in danger.

I think the scenarios for meeting people in Fallout 3 was quite unrealistic. I'd think a more realistic approach would be parties shouting from a long ways away things like "What are you're intentions/Keep your hands where I can see them" etc.

If anyone has read the Deathlands series by James Axler (penn name) I'd have to say I'd consider myself a mix of personality between JB and Trader. (A really good series of light reading if anyone is interested) :)

I play it as a good character who is ruthless, exactly like Mad Max or other post-apocalyptic heroes would have to be. I steal from everyone though. And sometimes I judge quickly and just blow people to smithereens without listening to their BS...

When I completed fallout 3 I'm pretty sure most of my missing quests were due to nuking Megaton at the first opportunity. Think I even took some mentats or something to be able to arm that bomb ASAP. Although I really dug my swanky digs at Tenpenny Towers.

Mentats increase your explosives skill? Didn't know that. And how do you dig in FO3?

Mentats increase your Perception, which in turn increase your Explosives skill.

When he said dug, he didn't mean "to dig", he was saying he liked it ;)
