What is the best laptop available today?

Hey, I need to pick a laptop for a 15y old girl, she has a few demands:

About 15" screen,
A webcam,
Cost about 450$. (Preferably less).

Since I'm no expert I was hoping somebody here would be nice enough to recommend me a laptop.

How about either a Dell D830 (non-Nvidia preferably due to GPU failure issues with the G84 core), Lenovo R500, or Lenovo T61/R61 (15.4")? She'll probably consider them to be ugly, but they're very well built business-class laptops and should handle abuse well. However, not all of them have a webcam.

How about the Dell inspiron 15R, It has all of the requested features and I found it on ebay for just over 400$, any good?
