Post your "rate my cables" here

Were you referring to the blue front fan? Yes it came with the case. So far so good. It is a 900rpm fan and no trouble at all.

Actually the Vertex2 are not hot at all. Very low heat emitted.

more interior space, allow more airflow.

also, hoses from the H50 will contact the upper fan's leafs if it is inside.

jojodancer, what numbers are you getting with that raid configuration?
the only thing stopping me from going ssd raid0 is the loss of TRIM

low 600's to mid 700's from ATTO.

although there is no TRIM, there are other ways to keep the drives up to speed.

also, not to do those bench mark tests that often will be ok. the GC (garbage collection) will do the cleanup job in idle state whenever you don't work on it.

what do you guys think ? Kinda a pain getting alot f those cables hidden nicely in an Antec 1200 with all the crap i've got :p......not bad for 45 min or so of work rewiring everything......the sata cables were a last minute thing that i forgot to find a place to run it.....the side panel fits alot better now as well

Kind of a rush job with swapping over to a 700d from a Lian Li PC60 and going watercooled. Think I did a fairly decent job hiding cables though.

Best I could do with a non-modular PSU and without modding it.

It's an Antec 1200.

I plan to buy some black SATA cables. For now, I taped up the yellow Gigabyte ones with tape. Couldn't have been bothered to tape up the red ones as they didn't bug me as much.

I hate how the 4850X2 bends like that.

The blue antec 120mm fan is temporary, and I will clean my H50 radiator.

yeah mine did that too, and i ended up having to RMA it. if i held up the end it would work, but if it was unsupported id get artifacting and BSODs. might wanna give it a little support now if you can so it doesnt happen to yours. my new 4870x2 has a backplate. :D

Got some NZXT cable extensions that look better than my PSU cables. Just need to get something to replace the DVD drive power cable.

i was thinking about the Corsair H70......

but that thing takes so much space!

Yup...I can't mount one of the 200mm fans because of it.

With some cases you can put one of the 120mm fans outside and that helps a bit.

Cabling in my HTPC. Specs in sig. Gaming rig doesn't look as nice, but is going into a new case soon so holding off on pics until then.

Not sure whose retarded idea it was to put the ATX power connector over by the I/O panel.

Well..... even asus is being a little tarded. They put the HD audio behind the I/O panel in my ASUS Rampage III Formula

Even DFI, a company supposedly geared towards enthusiasts decided to put the HD audio header right in front of the second PCI-e slot on my 790FX-MR2S. So no front audio if you want to use a second GPU. I do love this board though.

Just moved my rig over to a new case last week. Any suggestions on improving the cables are greatly appreciated:

you can usually run the 8 pin cpu power cable under the pci cards between the slot and the back of the case. you also might be able to flip your psu over which would help tremendously. only way to tell is to try it and see if it gets noticeably louder. if not, then its cooling fine that way. finally, you can turn your hard drive around and run the power cable along the back side of the case. nice rig! :)

kniah, I'd run the 8pin power cable under the video card up the edge of the motherboard or yank the whole board and run the cable under it entirely. Also, if you do flip the PSU you should easily have enough slack to run the hard drive power cable under the drive and up...similar to the SATA cable.

WozniakMac, Not bad at all...all these kids today with their 800D's have it easy...I like what I'm seeing. :)

ekuest and cornelious0_0 - thanks for the tips regarding the 8-pin power cable. I like the idea of running it behind the motherboard or underneath the expansion cards. I also like the idea of running the SATA power cable underneath the drive but that would mean adding another power cable (optical drive is using the same cable). Not a big deal, but it's too bad modular power supplies don't come with a larger variety of cables, i.e. single drive power cables or cables of different lengths.

Unfortunately, I can't flip the psu without drilling new mounting holes in the case so I will probably leave it as is for now. Will post some updates once I get a chance to move things around.
