Ok, I've been trying to figure out why my system crashes whenever I set it to 1T. I just got some new RAM from Corsair, they are a matched pair, TwinX 3200XLPRO DDR400 2x512. This system : Epox 9NDA3+ s939 - AMD64 3800+ - 2x74gig WD Raptors. GeForce 6800 Ultra. When switching from 2T to 1T should the voltages on the RAM be adjusted? I'm under the impression that you can get your system to run a bit faster with a 1T setting, is that true? Any and all help with this problem will be greatluy appreciated.

P.S. I just noticed that in my mobo's manual the system memory configuration shows that the first 2 dimm slots are 64bit and dimm slots 3&4 are 128bit. I have my modules loaded in dimm's 1&2, should they be in slots 3&4?

Here's the RAM I have.

are you OCing the 3800+? the memory controllers can be unstable (i think, tired and cant remember)

I know this is not what you want to hear, but I also could not get the same ram you have stable on a MSI Neo2 or Neo4 Platinum SLI.

I switched memory from my other machine (PC4000XL Pro) and it would do 1T at stock, but anything over 218 and :(

I suggest a memory sale / trade for something else. I understand you probably like the blinking lights, so go for a trade for some crucial ballistix instead.

Hmm... Well looks like I'll have a few items to sale at the upcoming LAN. I knew UI should've went the Crucial. Thanks for the info. What Ballistix do you suggest?

What about 4 of THESE

I was told by ePox tehc supprot that I could use 4 of these and fiull all DIMM's on the board that I have. These are some other moduels that I was told that I could use to fill all 4 DIMM's.

Recommended DDR 3200 memory modules for our 9NDA3+ board.

Tested 4x512MB Corsair 3200XL v1.1 4X512MB OCZ PC3200 Platinum Rev.2 4X512MB G. Skill TCCD 4X512MB Corsair CMX512-4400C25PT (DDR550)

The Tracer series from Ballistix have the blinking lights, I believe they come in DDR400 and DDR500.

I didn't have any problems with my XL1.1, but I think I'm beginning to hear about a lot of other people's issues with Corsair, or at least the XL- or is it just me?

you mean crucial tracer. ballistix is a high performance line from crucial, tracer is a step up with crazy blinking lights  :p

also, if you're gonna run at stock, there is no reason in hell to get anything over pc3200. another thing to consider, A64's hate 4 sticks of double sided ram. i can assure that almost every 512mb stick you come across will be, minus a few.

now, we should try to get the ram you have now working before you go out and get something new.
try bumping up the voltage a notch or two.

I had a hell of a time getting my Ballistix to work with my Neo2. I have 3.2V running through them, but poor OC results. I wouldn't buy them again for this board, and when I need 1Gig of ram (next upgrade after or at the same time as Win64) I'll be selling these sticks to some poor sucker.

Oh yeah, and two strips of ram MUST be plugged into the two slots closest to the cpu. I had no stability until I did that (I didn't think I'd be able to due the the Booster, but it did barely fit).

Ok, I'm good with that, tell me what I should do to take advantage of the ram I already have.

Also I have another question and i hope I don't sound retarded for asking, but I've been messing around in SisoftSandra and I noticed something when i was looking at my RAM info. It says that I'm only in 1 channel. This board supports dual channels and the RAM is dual channels so why would it read 1? And how do I go about changing this? (if what I'm seeing is correct).

I meant Tracer subseries in the Ballistix series- you're right. Way too early for me- I need more sleep before the semester starts again. Good god, I've only got three more days!

I allways use slots 3&4 onNforce3 baords. 1t should run fine on that setup, unless you chip is crap. I had than baord and ran 1t all the way up to 255Mhz. So my guss is the slot swap will fix it.

I'll try that.
