If you have misplaced your pet Dalek, it was located in England, planet Earth. If you are not familiar with the territory, please contact Dr.Who for directions. Local authorities fear invasion is imminent :p

I would pay good money, if I had good money, for something like that. And props to you Domo for the well worded and awesome news post. Its an old school Dalek too. Well prior to the 05 series.

The two of you are probably the only ones in all of [H]dom to know WTF this is all about lol.

Now where in England is it? I am in the UK for the next couple months...

LOL... Dr Who is a funny show, I usually watch it on Space (Canada) but now I am in the UK without a TV for the next couple months (military course)... oh here is an idea, I could actually stream it from the BBC without worry of their annoying IP block this time (err... what is that about TV licensing? Rubbish I tell you!)

Untrue, geeks and nerds are tha biggest sci-fiers out there. :D

I'm surprised you do not know Dr.Who, whose episodes span 5 decades.

Indeed. Its actually starting to become pretty popular over here. Now if only BBC America would gain the rights to stream it outside of the UK. Not having cable made watching the last season a royal pain.

I'm extremely excited for next season. I dunno if you know who he is Domo, but Neil Gaiman wrote an episode for next season and he was just at the studio for a couple days working on it. Not so excited for more Amy, but hopefully it will be her last season then we can get a better companion.

I'll take it off their hands if they pay the shipping! :) And if a TARDIS turns up there,I call dibs on it.

Exterminate! Exterminate!

Ahhhhhh! Daleks!

(If you never watched doctor who its pronounced Dah-Leck.) they are little squid like creatures who live inside armored shells and like to kill anything that is not like them. An allegory for Nazism. I actually jsut got into doctor who in the past 6 months and I love the series! Botht he new and the old.

The new Doctor Who is all Disney crap with a saturday morning cartoon soundtrack...although Matt Smith is a quantum leap over David Tennant for the Doctor.

The current shows sucks, with 45 minute overly rushed episode stories that are all action and all over the place...nothing like the often 3 hour long stories of the classic 1963-1989 episodes (replete with crappy sets and special effects) which were wonderful science fiction stories.

Most of the stories in the earlier seasons were pretty crap too. Some of them were really good, but the show has always been aimed towards kids. My only problem with the current series is that they can't seem to pick good companions. I didn't like Rose and I don't like Amy. I feel that after the end of last season there is nothing more to be said about Amy. Her story is done and over with. Martha and Donna were great companions and worked off David Tennant's Doctor well. They were able to deal with that Doctor when he was being mopy and be a bit of a McGuffin at times to motive him. I don't think Amy works off Matt Smith's Doctor as well. She might have been better for Tennant's.

As for the stories of the modern series. Eh, some are good some are crap. Really didn't like how rushed last seasons finale felt. Some parts were great, but others were down right terrible. And they did too good of a job wrapping up Amy's story at the end.

Hmm I do agree how the middle two worked best for companions, but I think Amy and Rose were the best. Because they push the tension between the Doctor and his companion. I think that spark of "the doctor really cares about them, but in a different kind of quasi-romatic fashion" makes it interesting. Its unique from his general caring for sentient life as a whole, and that's a little more fun to me. But that's just my opinion.

I agree on some of the stories being eh and the others being great.

I agree with you on Rose and Amy,they seemed to be chosen on sex appeal for the most part. Martha is my favorite of the new series, she was a strong, intelligent companion. Sarah Jane will always be my overall favorite, though. And I think David Tennant was a great Doctor, second only to Tom Baker on my list. As for the new season, I'm curious where they're going with the sub-plot with River Song, she's definitely not your typical companion. And I get the feeling the Time Lords will play a part in the overall storyline.

Lol you all are going to have to explain this one to me.

Imagine a 70s scifi show with a no budget feel, made in england. For children. Yet grown men like it. (like starwars wahey! :D)

But anyway. The darleks are like aliens with disabilites. They got all disfigured and stuff, and instead of letting their disabilities get them down their taking over the galaxy and shit in their high tech wheel chairs with lasers (though it must be noted, for all their high tech, apparently on their homeworld stairs havent been invented, it must be like holland, just planet wide).

But lukily for us, we are not alone in our defense against the disabled aliens who can't climb stairs. Enter, the main character who is a "timelord" think a human that just doesn't seem to be able to die (buddah). When he attempts this, or just dies of weird sudden old age, he becomes a new person (actor). He likes to kick these disabled people, because he hates the disabled or something, they have a war or something. Think buddah vs the high tech disabled).

Well anyway one of these disabled people (or a replica, based on how much you love D&D or live in a basement, or are a child at heart (yeah well go with that one) ok! so the child at heart, who like to kick disabled people are all looking for the shell of the disabled alien.

Oh just wikipedia it! Shortcut to Darleks. Or talk to one the crazies. (it scared me as a child so yes...)

I still fondly remember the battery operated toy Dalek I had in England way back in the early '60s. Bet it would be worth a lot today to a collector if I still had it.

i had to look up dalek on wikipedia to know WTF this was talking about. Never heard of them or watched dr who i guess.

Perhaps if it had been a vorpal bunny or holy hand grenade I would have gotten it.

The. Hell. You. Say.

Doctor Who fan or not, each and every one of you needs to watch "Blink" ASAP... (There's a pun in there, I know.)

The Weeping Angels, not bad G-Rated sci-fi horror.

Considering the low budget the show has they did a really good job with it. Their return last season was mostly good, aside from some stupid stuff with Amy and the really cheap way they ended it. My fondness for it might have more to do with River Song, who is just great.

Forget the Dalek... I umm, lost the doctor's daughter ... please return her to me if found.

River is something alright, you have to respect a gal who can make a Dalek beg for mercy!
