Just wanted to chime in here to mention that we've switched our two pots phone lines out for an Ooma Hub/Scout system a few months ago, and it works great. Sound quality is almost always excellent (the Muzak coming across from some businesses while on hold sounds a bit ratty), and calls in and out are just like before. We kept our DSL, which comes in over a dry line for $30-$39 per month (promotional pricing). We save $60/month net, so we should break-even at about 5 months. Everything beyond that is gravy.

I bought the older Hub/Scout because I needed two dedicated lines. Setup was confusing, but at this point everything is utterly nominal. Just like having two lines coming into the house from the telephone pole.

+1 for Ooma. Although I picked up the Ooma Telo instead.

Really happy with the quality as well.

I'm probably going to grab a telo next week. Got rid of cable this week. Netflix, Hulu, and Telo ftw..
