Hi, new to the forums but have been browsing this thread like crazy :D
Hope the pics are ok, taken on my droid
Comments appreciated
and yes i know the cords are a mess :S

How do you like the wolf pad? I have one but never could get used to it.

My setup. Inspiration for the layout of this room came from my paranoia of having my back to the door as well as pictures in this thread and the LCD setup thread. Sorry for the quality of the pictures but I was using a cell phone camera.

Thats 2 25" HP and 1 22" HP in a portrait configuration. All hooked up to a Sager 8760 with only 1 video card, so no eyefinity/3D vision surround for me. :( Still the laptop is a beast.

The desk, which is the Sauder Heritage HIll collection in a "u" shaped configuration.

This is a horrible picture but this is the view from the desk. This way, during football season, I can make sure I am able to work on classwork and not miss the games. WHO-DEY!!!

More Sauder furniture.

I know wire management is not perfect for the entertainment center but after an hour of trying I gave up. I would say for the entire room, desk and entertainment center, I have about 4 hours of wire management, 35 hours of assembly labor, and 10 hours of general setup involved. It's ALMOST perfect, just need my model of the USS Constitution to put on top of the desk hutch and a model of the original USS Bonhomme Richard to go on top of the bookcases.

Pretty snazzy setup. I like it very much.:D

^^ like lots of desk space. Two questions:
1. Was there not a single 3-monitor arm that would accommodate those 3 monitors in the corner?
2. What's up with 2 wall clocks one of which is seemingly stopped?

LOL good point. Just got the wooden one from ikea because it matched the desk really. The round one covers up some white paint, you'll notice that wall absolutely sucks with paint uniformity. Until I figure something out it'll stay that way. Also I already had the ergotron LX arm, and the dual arm was like $50 shipped. Finding a triple was not so simple, the displays are 23" and the ergotron DS100 (?) was just short of being able to accomodate them.

I have searched high and low for so long a nice, sturdy and functional triple screen mount but most seem flimsy or they are almost straight and I need them curved in more.

However, the DS100 is one of the ones I looked at and out of my price range for now but you can mount much larger monitors on that stand you just need the Crossbar Extender. I found that out from e-mailing Erogtron about needing to mount 3 - 24" widescreens on the DS100.

For now, I am just using Monoprice's single LCD arms for my three monitors, they work and after some zip ties to keep my monitors from tilting forward but hate the gaps in the monitors. Hopefully that helps if you or anyone else for monitor mounts. :D

How are you liking the RAT? What mouse did you replace? Setup looks super clean. :D

The adjustments on the RAT are great. I replaced a Razer Mamba which I am now trying to sell. Its a bit of an adjustment feel and size wise and I am not quite used to it yet, but I am pretty confident I will get there.

Thanx for the kind words. Considering selling the 3 x 24" or going with a U3011. Decisions, Decisions.

xveganx can you show a better picture of the desk, looks so fly, that I wanna see more!

Interesting. I've been looking for something a bit wider to replace my MX518. My hands have started cramping up after long gaming sessions because half my hand rests off of it...gets really uncomfortable. Those wouldn't happen to be VH242Hs would they? I have that model and if I were you got the funds I'd totally replace them with those sexy Dells. I hate the flimsy stand those ASUS monitors come on!

Agree, I think we want to see the build/structure of the deck .. for example, it seems to be a fairly long desk, but it's not sagging (granted, there isn't much weight in the middle). What did you make it out of? What's the support structure? TIA
I'm not sure if that's what he meant. :p

I've got my PC gaming space all ready for Civilization V. Got my D&B glass, got my nook (currently reading Drawing of the Three, second book in the Dark Tower series...will come in handy with multiplayer Civ V games), got my desk wiped down and my monitors cleaned off. Can't wait to get home from work tomorrow!

I built the desk

Very nice finish, how much work did you spend on it? plus yes doors are awesome!

Sanded it down first with coarse, then medium and then fine sandpaper (220)

One coat of wood conditioner, 3 coats of stain and 2 coats polyurethane clear coat.

The clear coat was lightly sanded after 3-4 hours of drying with 320 grit sanding sponge.

4-6 hours for each coat of stain, 3-4 hours for each coat of clear coat and then 24 hours before light use.

About 50 hours total. Actual work time maybe 3 hours. Not too bad.

Did I mention its cheap?

The legs came off an old desk.

Total cost was about $85 bucks including all staining supplies and sandpaper.

I downgraded

<Insert picture of anime character with a gushing nose bleed>

Razer Mako, super clean desk, Antec Twelve Hundred, and, most importantly, a Herman Miller office chair... and what are likely to be a Razer mouse and maybe even a Razer keyboard.

A man after my own heart. :D
