I was looking at the Corsair 800D because of the shear size of the thing. But I noticed it does not have a side fan to blow directly on the GPUs. :(

What would be a good case recommendation to keep these babys cool?

800D isn't that great for air cool system.

Silverstone Raven, Coolermaster HAF 932/X or CM690-2 would be my picks

Im in the middle of building a 480 in SLI air cooled system myself. I decided of getting the nzxt phantom case. It's on pre-order fomr Amazon, waiting for them to ship it.

So while investigating the Raven RV02, I found the Fortress FT02 and I like it alot better.

Which is supposed to be better? The Raven or the Fortress?

They both have the same cooling capability. The only differences are that the Fortress looks more elegant, has better build quality, and HDDs are mounted differently.

If I were you, I'd get this version of the FT02 with the red interior (it's really nice and it comes with the air penetrator fans)

Basically, my list would be:
1)FT02 ( for the better build quality over the RV02)
2) Rv02
3) Haf X
4) Haf 932
5) Corsair 600T (unavailable atm)

If you get the 800D and install the 3 fans at the top of the case, you will get decent temps.....

Side gpu fan doesn't really appear to do much for me. Then again I have a low rpm 230mm fan on my side. Gonna replace that with a cleaner looking windowed panel with no fan. FT02 appears to be the best performing air cooling case atm. Until a better one comes out anyways.

Reading some reviews I would go with the HAF X. It was co-developed with nvidia to use the ducting that cools the video cards so they wont hit their thermal limit. For the HAF X, you will need a 100-150cfm fan in the front duct to blow into the video cards.
