Bad Company 2

Got gold on all my classes. Yesterday, I finished the medic weapons. Debating whether to do all shotties, G3, M1A1, and M14.

We had a guy named [KKK] K1ansman or something last night on our server. All he kept spouting is racial epitaphs and the like. Non-stop, annoying everyone for no reason.

I'm familiar with him. He was harassing people on my former clan's server. Even tried posting my former clan's admin's address and what military base he's stationed in (he's Navy), etc. Claims to be a law enforcement officer and uses Tor.

Other than that, no info.

When I play Medic I only see meatshields and mobile turrets. When I revive you you become one or the other so I suggest you keep your fire button held down if you're gonna die any where near me.

:D holy shit that's funny. made me choke on my coffee.

<awesome AT mine plat screen>

nice job, that's a tough one to plat. it will be one of my last, if ever.

I thought a ticket was used when spawning, not when a kill is made, hence the whole point of reviving as it doesn't cost any tickets if you revive someone.

I'm not 100% sure when the tickets are used but I'm pretty sure that the ticket is used upon death. If you are revived the used ticket is refunded back to the pool. The game even states this in one of its hints displayed on the loading screens.

Tickets are used when you die. If you are revived the ticket goes back to the team (+1).

On a side note - I love tank mines and when I plat mine I will share my favorite place to put two that has not failed once since I figured out how to place them there. Every time I play Arica Harbor it is like a guaranteed 10ish kills with the tank mines once I figured out where to put them.

Also anyone else feel that Atacama Desert is the worst rush map while Nelson Bay is the worst conquest.

Atacama Desert rush is just crazy hard for the attackers unless they are lightning fast. I've seen it done several times as the attacker but it seems to be the most heavily tilted rush map in favor of the defenders. So much open space between objectives - ugh hate that map for rush as offense.

On Nelson Bay conquest the Americans are pretty much screwed if they don't get B first. Once the Russians get it the Americans have to try and slug their way up that open road into B which I have never seen an American team take B after the Russians get more than a squad up there. They really should have put a second path around the backside of the moutains into B so that the defenders would have to at least watch more than one choke spot.

yes Atacama is the worst to attackers. if baserapping doesn’t work I just basecamp and snipe or try to CG something. sorry my rank is 50, normal playing is boring now :D

I like using AT mines too, 12 kills left for me to Platin. but I must admit I got most of my kills when the game was released and no one really paid attention for them like now.

now what’s really fun is what I found out yesterday, I uploaded a video about it here

Seen similar videos, where they actually don't hurt the UAV and therefore can bring it back to the station to get further C4 tossed on (allowing the same UAV to blow up multiple MCOMMs).

I've only actually seen this in a game once. Which was fine with me, as there's very little you can do to prevent it.

Last night, I was playing on one particular server for quite some time. I watched one guy ('Jones from NY' I think??) who was fairly impressive. I would have thought he was cheating, as he managed to jump in kills pretty quickly, except for the fact that I watched him play. He did manage to miss occasionally, and sometimes even twice in a row. I don't know how someone can be THAT good at aiming, or even that lucky. But this dude was pretty accurate while I watched him. Was rather irritating :-/ only because playing against someone like that means you die frequently even if you are better than average.

On Atacama Desert w/ Rush I stuck some C4 on a jeep and ran up to the mcom... the guy shot me with a gustav and my C4's started going off 1 by 1 and I got pushed backwards... was pretty funny but did some damage. Next time around a teammate took teh jeep so I slapped on some C4 just to see what would happen. About 20 seconds later I decided to blow the C4 and I guess he had it parked right at the MCOM because I blew it up. I was still at spawn and had no idea where they took that car.

i play against him all the time on Seattle servers. as far as i can tell, and i've played against him a lot, he's just a very skilled player. about every 3 games or so someone calls him a hack. he's just very good.

It's surprising to me how many times I see defending players place C4 all around their own MCOM.

Seems to happen less nowadays (at least what I've seen) as you get dinged a ton of points for damaging the MCOM.

I know where people hide after they arm the MCOM (not hard to figure out, same places I go) so I just litter that area with C4. When I hear the bomb planted, I wait 3 seconds or so and boom. Always seem to get kills that way.

Each MCOM damage point is reflected back double for MCOM team damage.

So taking out an MCOM would mean getting -1000 to -1500 points.

Funnily enough negative points don't matter at all except for the scoreboard. At the end of the game you get the positive points you had earned and the negative points don't seem to be factored at all.

I'm pretty sure they are factored in. So say the 1st thing you do is blow your own MCOM and have -5000 (or w/e). You need to get 5000 points to get back to zero.

Is that not what you've seen?

Nope. One time I had about 320 points and got about -1000 points from objective damage (don't ask), ended up with a -680 scoreboard score but at the end of the round I received the 320 and my bar went up that amount.

I used to put C4 near poorly defended MCOM's because it was better to stop them from arming ti than to do a little damage.

This was back in beta when people would try to arm it / not blow it up from far away and you had terrible teams where no one would defuse it. So my solution was just to guard it with C4 to prevent them from ever planting.

my in game name is

Ruskaya|Zaraza

has a sniper sign in the middle. You guys ever play against me?

@ jellylesg aka GEOFF LEPPARD

I think there is something buggered with your mic set-up - I couldn't make out a damn thing. Just a horrible static humming clanking noise that made me want to take my headphones off!

Nice play on Nelson Bay - I saw you double kill with one shot with the shotgun. Nasty shit. I had a perfect view right over your shoulder.

The chopper circling high and fast above Valparaiso was getting right on my tits, no one seemed to want to take it down so I suicided and took it out with a tracer and RPG - triple defensive kill. The points didn't seem to ever stop counting! I don't think we have ever lost if we're on the same team, long may it continue...

I became a medic to make the world a better place and now my feelings are hurt....

(

lol

same, i got all the recon stuff, what i started at, started with Assault, now i play medic because next to no one does on most server so i just rack up the points! i can have 1 or 2 kills and be top 5 in points from heals and revives.

but i do love a good server where you get 3-4 medics and assaults and you make a front line defense or push up with those same people on attacking, you just steam roll the other team

So true.

It really makes all the difference in the world when you're on a server and on a team that has a little bit of everything and some balance and some actual efforts at real teamwork. Even "less than great" players like myself big time benefit. Everyone does.

I may have been wrong...I played White Pass on rush last night. I think it is on par with Atacama Desert for difficulty on offense. The 1st set of MCOMs in that building...omg. A isn't that bad but B is dam near impossible to get to, you have to go up the stairs one way or another. The back stairs always had the darn walls blown off a couple minutes into the map so zero cover there to try and advance. The middle of the building just as hard because the 2nd story side walls are blown off too.

Ugh that one sucks bad.

the servers i play on are inundated with medics. mainly because the M60 is an instant-death-machine, and the MG36 is a large-caliber-automatic-sniper-rifle.

M60 is actually pretty balanced now IMO. MG36 however, is WAY too accurate with its RDS. Sniper rifle indeed.

M60 still owns every other LMG. You have to not spray it like a retard, but with some really basic tap fire none of the rest of them are really competitive with it. It also has some "intangible" benefits like the fact that it knocks your target's aim around like CRAZY preventing them from effectively firing back at you if you get the drop on them.

Current rough LMG hierarchy:

1. M60 (Banned from competitive play)
2. MG36
3. PKM/XM8
4. MG3
5. T88/SAW

Lol totally opposite on the servers I play on. Might as well be called Medic Company 2. Oddly I find that fun though. In rush maps we just roll across with 5-10 medics and were unstoppable. We just ignore tanks and move right pass them on to our objective in a conga line of revives. Keep 1 or 2 assault guys around for ammo boxes :)

I use MG36 seems to have a red dot scope build in and its very stable minimum recoil. I can put 15-20 shots in a 1ft circle by just tapping. Snipers hate me. I dont really like the M60 anymore. I used to use it but now prefer the MG36

I've noticed that as well.

I see a pretty obvious trend...and I'm not saying this is universal but a lot of "noobs" go with snipers and then the guys kicking the most ass with high ranks and insane guns are almost always medics.

I'm going to say medic is the class I see the most of outright especially when we start talking rank 30 and higher players.
